I don't know movie economics.. but how does a movie that made $117 million more than budget lose money?
For North American box office the studios only get about half of the box office, the rest largely going to the theatre. For international box office the share is typically less than half to the studios.
A movie needs to make over twice it's budget at the box office to break even. Solo was a huge loss. Especially as budget doesn't include marketing, and the marketing push was quite large for Solo.
I don't know. I've seen this criticism a few times, and it seems to me the tail is coming out the right spot. Like, a butthole is lower down. The tail looks like it's coming out of the tip of the tailbone, which makes sense. I think the placement is right, even though it looks a little gross. But to be honest, whenever a dog or a cat walks past you, all you see is a nasty butthole right below the tail. It's part of what makes an animal so gross to some people. I personally don't want to see an anus when I'm just going about my business around the house.
That said, I hate musicals and this movie looks ridiculous. I might see it just to experience what a two-hour cringe would feel like.

So I've been looking around, and with the advent of the release of this film, where do we stand on the simultaneous re-release of its accompanying McNugget Szechuan sauce?

Yeah, but how good can a movie be about such wholesome person with no conflicts?
As far as I can tell, his biggest controversy was that he spoke up for allowing fair-use VCR recording of TV shows.
Part of me thinks the other shoe will drop on Rogers any day now. Like he was a pedophile, or its revealed he was a lecherous creep who preyed on interns, or that he was drunk during the filming of every episode, or embezzled money from childrens' charities
