8TB Buffalo 3410DN NAS Array. SOHO level NAS Array with 4 x 2TB disk.

Approx 1 year old.

Supports RAID 0, 1, 10, 5 and 6. Already configured as RAID 5. Supports NFS, CIFS (Windows Shares) and more.

2 x 1Gb ethernet ports can be made redundant.

Runs fast and quiet; can saturate a 1Gbps link with 120MB/s data transfer rate with appropriate equipment - with an appropriate configuration and equipment it can transfer 2 files at 120MB/s each.

No one wants a good 8TB NAS? It is kind of a niche market, where else to try to sell it?

I have something similar, (qnap instead)

Well, tell the finance committee that there needs to be an organizational lead. That's you and this NAS is a need, not a want.



Once you're out of the hospital and allowed to sleep in the main boardroom again, we can discuss the need vs want aspect from a different angle.
