Well I hate this. Huge fan of the guy.
From a less emotional perspective, he’s already a high risk signing. The Canucks are probably most likely to sign him because he was most dominant / memorable in games against them. He hasn’t quite replicated that dominance since (although still an effective, offensive player).
Ultimately I think he’s a good player that will make their team better, but there’s a reasonable chance this contract is going to be a mistake for them too.

Something's gotta give here, they have way too many forwards and still need to sign Boeser too. Only 4.1 mil in cap space even before signing Ferland
