Another great goal by Matthews. Carey Price doesn't look like himself so far this season.

Matthews looks unreal. I don't think he'll be as good as McDavid, but I think he'll likely be the clear number two for years to come.

Who's this new guy on the HNIC main panel? Every time it cuts to him he starts out okay as the first camera shot shows everyone then when it cuts to the close up camera that he has to look into he looks and sounds like he's going to cry of nervousness. So awkward.

The traditional Leafs game going to overtime before the Flames game. Thankfully the games on City today.
... and Matthews ends it quickly.

Matthews' shot is insane.
It's the biggest thing he blows McDavid out of the water with. McDavid has a average at best shot, Matthews' is elite.

Talbot pulled after weak 4th goal gets past him. Coming back down to earth maybe.

Yikes. 6-0 now.
Same score as Calgary last night, but totally different game. Oilers should be embarrassed by their effort. No one showed up. Ha ha.

Help, save, whatever.

Matthews is clutch.
Nice to see things even out after the horrible record they had in OT last year.
From the Athletic:
"Matthews’ eight game-winning goals last year tied for fifth-best in the league. He’s now got 10 in the first 87 regular-season games of his career."

Wow, the Sens opened a can of whoop ass in Alberta. We know that E=NG but the offense of the Sens and good goaltending sure showed. Hoffman and Turris each with 2 goals and 1 assist and the Sens backup was in net. Condon made 35 saves.
Speaking of the backup, the Islanders had Greiss in net against the Sharks, his former team. He made 40 saves in the Isles 3-1 road win. The Kings beat the Sabres 4-2. Eichel and Doughty had 2 points each. The Bhawks get a little bit of revenge as they beat the Predators 2-1 in OT. Both Rinne (33 saves) and Crawford (37 saves) played will in net. Saad scored the GWG.
The Bruins made it Coyote ugly as Boston wins 6-2 in the desert, their 7th straight win in Glendale. Chara with 3 points and Khudobin was in net for the win. Another thumping had the Flyers win big over the Capitals 8-2! Couturier and Voracek each with 3 points. Close but not quite for the Panthers as they lose 4-3 to the Penguins. Crosby and Huberdeau score 2 goals each. Wenneberg scores the OT winner, BJs win 5-4. The Devils looked sharp in a close game and their backup Kinkaid was in net as they beat the Rangers 3-2 in reg time. Tampa wins 2-1 in reg time over the Blues.
