And the Canucks got spanked by a team the Flames spanked the previous week. Sports are funny that way, and there is no good reason to expect that the Flames won’t win this game.

Lack should be in tonight. Smith needs a break.

I’m expecting a motivated team on the ice tonight.
Last night has to be embarrassing for the players.

Lack has something to prove.
The Flames have something to prove.
I'm expecting the Canucks to get blown up tonight -- on the scoresheet and on the boards. This is one of those (many) nights where it'll suck to be a Canuck.

Smith gets the start apparently. Should be pretty motivated.

I thought that might be the case when they gave him most of the 3rd off.

F. Hamilton in but Gulutzan wouldn't say for who. Said some guys are "nicked up."

I'll be there tonight. I better see a pissed off, motivated Flames team on the ice. Green has Vancouver competing hard so the Flames better come out ready to work and maintain it through out the game.

Play a 35 year old goalie on the 2nd night of a back to back against a bottom feeder ... just seems like a bad idea. These are the games you let the old guy rest and play your backup.

Lets see if Smith can channel his inner Kiprusoff where he gets shelled and then bounces back with a huge game.

I'll be there tonight also, which'll be my first game in a foreign building I do believe. Keep your eyes peeled for the nondescript caucasian with no Flames jersey.

Calgary Flames at Vancouver Canucks - 8:00 PM MDT
I imagine it’s Stajan or Brouwer out. They were awful on the PK last night. Plus with Gully saying “some guys are nicked up”, it allows him to bench a veteran without causing a stir.

The rest of the team should be pretty rested as well since they all took the 3rd period off last night.

They have a 4 day break after. That's plenty of rest in the regular season.t.

Surprised to see Smith back in but the Flames have five days off after today so Smith will still get a rest... also don't want to go into that break on a losing skid so better to start the #1.
