Bautista solo shot makes it 2-0. Looks like it wouldn't be any fun there at all right now.
Yes, I'm jealous.

I'm at Safeco and the whole ####ing field knew Biagini was done after 6. Gibbons might give a good interview, but come on. That was obvious.

He was at 70 pitches and was rolling right along. How is that an obvious time to pull him?

For every big hit Carrera comes up with he makes two terrible throws in the outfield and a bone head base running mistake. If he was a hockey player we would say that he lacks hockey IQ, I don't know if it is a thing but Carrera really lacks baseball IQ.

Yeah. We need better defensive play from our left fielders. Sadly, all 3 of Carrera, Pearce & Coghlan are 4th outfielders.
Pearce historically mashes lefties but against righties he generally scuffles. Carrera is decent with the bat against righties but holy smokes that arm, yikes it's pitiful. And Coghlan is, well...Coghlan I guess.

It was nowhere near obvious. Do you say stuff just to get a reaction? As was pointed out he had thrown 70 pitches and there were zero signs of trouble. After the second walk yes, but after 6? Give your head a shake.

Biagini starts to run out of gas at after about 4. Still doesn't have starters stamina yet. I didn't realize he'd only threw 72 pitches, but it was pretty obvious he'd hit his wall. Gibbons needed to be on top of that.
That said, the Jays did themselves no favours by not cashing in more runs in the first few innings.

Sparkman must be close to being ready, he's already rehabbing.
Jays have to give him a spot on the MLB roster or offer him back to the Royals.
I wonder if that's when Grilli finally gets shot out of a cannon?

Read an article today. The Jays have the 5th worst BABIP with RISP of all time.
Also one of the worst cluster ratings.
just an unlucky team through and through.
Those numbers should get better.

Apparently the Marlins are considering tearing it down (again lol).
How nice would it be to pick up Dee Gordon and Christian Yelich?
2B and LF holes filled nicely with left hand bats that have speed and decent OBP. Both guys are fairly young too and signed for multiple seasons, so not a short term fix.
Not sure what the Jays would have to give up though. Maybe not a ton considering the money involved.

Jays 3-11 against LHP?
That's terrible, especially for a right hand batting heavy line up.
Winning 2-1 still, but only 2 hits so far.
