Yeah another great point.
I think the heat transfer coefficient of water is 26 times that of air, if my memory serves me right.

I am going to propose an out-of-the-box city- Moncton. CV cases at zero, brand new arena, comfortable temps in Summer, and no home team advantage. It's also called the hub city.

The Flames goaltenders too. Both guys in fact.
An entire playoffs away from home could be the best case scenario for this year's team.

I was quite content with the Flames being unable to feed me their annual dose of bitter disappointment.

I think people are getting a little too far ahead of their skis here. If they end up with 1 hub per conference, then there is a pretty good chance they do re-seed. If it was a 4 hub thing, then the fixed bracket would make more sense than moving teams around.
The league has always re-seeded in the playoffs, but that doesn't stop them from using bracket style graphics.

I was in Vegas when it was 116 degrees...hop in the pool, hotels are nice and cool
Any player would pick Vegas, probably even Oilers players

We are discussing the proposal as it was presented, two hubs and brackets is the latest... obviously things can/should change

I wonder if the Canes think they deserve a bye, and the Bolts don't want to play meaningless games while their opponent ramps up in do-or-die scenarios again. They should just agree to swap.

You are correct, I didn’t look at teams ahead of the Flames in points.

lol at every aspect of the playing surface. "There's the Oilers with home knowledge of the blue line placement giving them a jump again".
This isn't MLB with unique ball parks.

Yeas some are trying too hard looking for reasons the Oilers are getting some advantage. Time to let some things go maybe.

Why the month long delay? Surely they could open training camps before the first week of July?
