I thought it would be a fun experiment. For the first one I asked the AI to write a story about a Janitor caught in the middle of the Battle of Endor. The first time it wrote it, it was pretty cookie cutter and bland. Basically the Janitor dodged fire and made his escape. I asked it to try again and it was better this time the Character Joe who worked on the Imperial base in Endor got caught in the battle and eventually joined the Ewoks to defeat the storm troopers. I decided to try a third time to see what it came up with. in.
Spoiler!
Once upon a time, a janitor named Tim was working his usual shift at the Imperial base on the forest moon of Endor. As he was mopping the floors and cleaning the trash bins, he suddenly heard the sound of blaster fire and explosions. He peeked outside to see what was happening and was shocked to see that the Rebel Alliance was attacking the base.
Tim quickly realized that he was caught in the middle of a battle. He didn't want to be involved in the fighting, but he also didn't want to be caught by either side. So he decided to do what he always did in times of crisis: he grabbed his cleaning cart and started pushing it down the hallway.
As he made his way through the base, Tim saw Stormtroopers and Rebel soldiers running past him, shooting at each other. He tried to stay out of their way, but it was difficult to navigate the narrow corridors with his cleaning cart.
At one point, a group of Stormtroopers spotted Tim and mistook him for a Rebel infiltrator. They started chasing him, firing their blasters at him. Tim ran as fast as he could, pushing his cleaning cart in front of him like a shield.
Eventually, Tim managed to lose the Stormtroopers and found himself in a deserted part of the base. He took a deep breath, relieved that he had escaped the fighting. But then he heard a voice behind him.
"Freeze! Hands in the air!"
Tim turned around to see a Rebel soldier pointing a blaster at him. The Rebel must have thought he was an Imperial spy.
"Please, I'm just a janitor!" Tim pleaded. "I don't want any trouble!"
The Rebel soldier looked at Tim for a moment, then lowered his blaster. "Okay, you can go. But be careful out there. This place is a war zone."
Tim nodded gratefully and pushed his cleaning cart out of the base, finally escaping the battle of Endor. From then on, he made sure to stay away from any conflict and continue his job as a janitor in peace.
The second one I asked it to write about a mechanic who stole a car and won the Indy 500. As I kept telling it to try again, the stories tended to get better. This is the second one
Spoiler!
As a mechanic at a small-town auto shop, Joe had always dreamed of racing in the Indy 500. But he knew that his chances of making it to the big leagues were slim, especially since he didn't have the money to buy a high-performance race car.
One day, while working on a customer's car, Joe came up with a plan. He would steal the car and use it to enter the Indy 500. He knew it was a risky move, but he was desperate to fulfill his dream.
After work, Joe waited until the shop was empty and then made his move. He carefully disconnected the security system and hotwired the car, then drove it out of the garage and onto the open road.
As he sped down the highway, Joe felt a rush of adrenaline. He knew he was taking a huge risk, but he also knew that this was his only chance to race in the Indy 500.
When he arrived at the track, Joe was nervous. He didn't have a racing license or a pit crew, but he was determined to make the most of his opportunity. He qualified for the race and managed to hold his own against the other drivers, despite his lack of experience.
As the laps ticked by, Joe's skills as a mechanic began to pay off. He made expert adjustments to the car's suspension and engine, and gradually moved up through the field.
In the final laps of the race, Joe found himself in the lead. The crowd roared as he crossed the finish line, becoming the unexpected winner of the Indy 500.
But Joe's celebration was short-lived. As soon as he climbed out of the car, he was arrested by the police, who had been alerted to the theft of the car. Joe was taken away in handcuffs, his dream of racing in the Indy 500 now a distant memory.
The last story, I told the AI that it had to write about the Oilers missing the playoffs and Connor demanding a trade to the Rangers. This is the first story
Spoiler!
It was a disappointing season for the Edmonton Oilers, as they failed to make the playoffs for the third year in a row. The team's star player, Connor McDavid, was frustrated with the team's lack of success and demanded a trade to the New York Rangers.
The Oilers' management was hesitant to let McDavid go, but they knew that they couldn't keep him against his will. After much negotiation, a deal was reached and McDavid was traded to the Rangers.
The move was met with mixed reactions from fans and the media. Some were excited to see McDavid join a team with a rich history of success, while others were disappointed to see him leave the Oilers.
As for McDavid, he was eager to start a new chapter in his career with the Rangers. He knew that the pressure would be on to deliver results, but he was ready to take on the challenge.
In his first season with the Rangers, McDavid helped lead the team to the Stanley Cup finals. The Rangers lost to the Boston Bruins in seven games, but McDavid's performance solidified his status as one of the top players in the league.
Looking back, the trade that brought McDavid to the Rangers was a risky move, but it ultimately paid off for both the player and the team. The Oilers, on the other hand, struggled to replace their star player and continued to miss the playoffs in the following years.
This one was better though
Spoiler!
The Edmonton Oilers were once a proud and successful hockey team, but in recent years, they had fallen on hard times. Despite having one of the best players in the league, Connor McDavid, they failed to make the playoffs year after year.
Frustrated with the team's lack of success, Connor demanded a trade to a contender. He wanted to play for a team that had a chance at winning the Stanley Cup, and he believed the New York Rangers were the best fit for him.
The Oilers were reluctant to let their star player go, but they knew that they couldn't keep him if he wasn't happy. After much negotiation, they agreed to trade Connor to the Rangers in exchange for a package of prospects and draft picks.
As soon as the deal was announced, the hockey world was in shock. Connor was considered one of the best players in the league, and his departure from Edmonton was a huge blow to the team and its fans.
But for Connor, the trade was a fresh start. He joined the Rangers and immediately made an impact, helping them make a deep run in the playoffs. He was finally playing for a team that had a chance at winning it all, and he was determined to make the most of it.
In the end, the Rangers fell short of winning the Stanley Cup, but Connor was happy with his decision to demand a trade. He had escaped the mediocrity of the Oilers and was now playing for a team with a bright future.
I wish I could say I was drunk, but this is a story of a chicken getting sucked into a black hole
Spoiler!
As the chicken pecked at the ground, it had no idea of the danger lurking above. Without warning, a black hole appeared in the sky and began to suck everything around it into its depths.
The chicken tried to run, but it was too late. The black hole's gravitational pull was too strong, and the chicken was quickly drawn into its swirling darkness.
Inside the black hole, the chicken felt a strange sensation as it was stretched and twisted by the intense forces at work. It tried to squawk in fear, but no sound could escape the black hole's grasp.
After what seemed like an eternity, the chicken was spit out the other side of the black hole. It found itself in a strange, alien landscape where the laws of physics were completely different from what it was used to.
The chicken didn't know how it was going to survive in this new and dangerous place, but it was determined to try. It began to explore its surroundings, looking for food and shelter.
As the days passed, the chicken adapted to its new environment and even began to thrive. It learned to navigate the strange landscape and even made some new friends along the way.
But no matter how hard it tried, the chicken could never forget the terror of being sucked into a black hole. It always looked up at the sky with a sense of awe and fear, never knowing when another black hole might appear and claim it once again.

Can you write a story about the Winnipeg Jets winning the Stanley Cup, in overtime, of game 7, against the New York Rangers. The reffing was unfair for the Jets, but they overcame it
Spoiler!
The Winnipeg Jets were facing off against the New York Rangers in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. The Jets had been the underdogs throughout the playoffs, but they had fought their way to the championship round.
The game was tight from the start, with both teams trading chances and neither able to take a commanding lead. The Jets were struggling to get past the Rangers' defense, but they kept pushing and pressuring the puck.
As the game went on, the Jets began to feel the effects of some questionable calls by the referees. The Rangers were getting all the calls, and the Jets were starting to get frustrated. But they didn't let it get to them, and they continued to battle.
In the third period, the Jets finally broke through when their captain, Blake Wheeler, scored a beautiful goal to tie the game. The crowd erupted, and the Jets were fired up. They continued to press, looking for the go-ahead goal.
But the Rangers wouldn't go down easily. They fought back, and it looked like the game was headed to overtime. The Jets were exhausted, but they knew they had to dig deep and find a way to win.
In the extra period, the Jets took control of the puck and began to swarm the Rangers' net. They were relentless, and finally, with less than a minute to go, Mark Scheifele scored the game-winning goal. The Jets poured off the bench and mobbed Scheifele, who was the hero of the game.
The Jets had won the Stanley Cup in overtime, against all odds. It was an incredible moment, and the fans in Winnipeg were ecstatic. The Jets had overcome the unfair reffing to claim their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

So it works well for writing fiction

The Saskatchewan Rough Riders were a bad football team, known more for their losing record and financial struggles than their on-field performances. Despite their shortcomings, the team continued to operate year after year, barely scraping by on a shoestring budget.
But as it turned out, the team was not only failing on the field, they were also involved in illegal activities off of it. It was discovered that the team was using their low-profile and financial troubles as a cover for a dog fighting ring.
The news came as a shock to the football community and fans of the team. Many were outraged and disappointed that the team they had supported for so long was involved in such a heinous crime.
The authorities were quick to act, and the team was shut down immediately. The players and staff involved in the dog fighting ring were arrested and faced severe consequences for their actions.
The team's owner tried to defend himself and the team, claiming that they were simply trying to make ends meet in a tough financial situation. But his excuses fell on deaf ears, and the team was permanently disbanded, its legacy forever tarnished by their involvement in illegal dog fighting.
Without the Rough Riders, the CFL was forced to realign its divisions, and the loss of a team left a hole in the hearts of their loyal fans. The saga of the Saskatchewan Rough Riders serves as a cautionary tale of the dangers of greed and the consequences of breaking the law.
Should have used this for seasons 7 and 8 of GoT. Or the Star Wars sequels. Or prequels for that matter. I wonder if James Gunn will use it to write the next phase of the DCU. Can’t get any worse than what they’ve produced using human writers.

Sure, here is a possible email you could send to your wife to apologize for climaxing too soon during intercourse:
Dear [Wife's Name],
I wanted to reach out to you and to apologize for what happened during our last sexual encounter. I know that I climaxed too soon and that it was disappointing for both of us.
I want you to know that I am sorry and that I take full responsibility for my actions. I know that I need to work on my stamina and to improve my control, and I am committed to doing that.
I also want to let you know that I love you and that I value our relationship. I know that we both have different needs and desires, and I want to make sure that we are both satisfied and happy. Can we talk about this and come up with a plan to improve our sexual experiences together?
I am sorry for any hurt or frustration that I may have caused, and I hope that you can forgive me.
Love,
[Your Name]

It's going to be a dream for those scenarios where you need to reply to an email but you're far too angry to do so in a professional manner.
I saw a really cool use case where somebody was using it to help a client who had brutal dyslexia that left his emails mostly incomprehensible. They rigged up a system whereby he could get his words down, and the bot would take it the rest of the way. Stuff like that will be incredibly helpful.
As for the original topic of the thread, a buddy of mine who has been pretty scared of all this has been using it to flesh out silly little short story ideas (mostly to see what it can and can't do). What's remarkable to me is that it's already funnier than most people. Can't yet touch the top 33%, but the bottom 66% who struggle with it can be lapped by this thing pretty quickly.

I tried to get it to write a sequel to Star Wars, but it struggled, and even though I gave the Empire a new super weapon, the AI recreated the Death Star as the Death Moon
Story 1
Spoiler!
and a new planet-sized battlestation called the Death Moon.
The story begins with Rey, Finn, and Poe leading a team of rebels on a mission to infiltrate the Death Moon and disable the planet-destroying laser. Meanwhile, Luke and Leia are working to rally the remnants of the New Republic and build a coalition to take on the Empire.
As they near the Death Moon, the team is ambushed by Imperial forces led by Ben Solo, now known as Kylo Ren. Rey and Finn are captured and taken aboard the Death Moon, where they are confronted by Kylo Ren and General Hux.
Kylo Ren reveals that he has been seduced by the Dark Side and now serves the mysterious Darth Vengence, who has been secretly pulling the strings of the Empire from the shadows. Rey and Finn are horrified to learn that the Empire has been using the Death Moon to destroy entire planets, wiping out entire civilizations in their quest for power.
Finn, still loyal to the rebellion, manages to break free and helps Rey escape. They join forces with Poe and the other rebels, who have successfully disabled the planet-destroying laser.
With the Death Moon weakened, the rebels launch a massive attack on the Imperial fleet. In the heat of battle, Kylo Ren confronts Luke Skywalker, determined to prove himself as the superior Jedi. But Luke, with the help of Leia, is able to reach out to the good still inside Kylo Ren, and he is able to turn back to the Light Side.
Together, the rebels and their allies are able to defeat the Empire and destroy the Death Moon, bringing an end to the Empire's reign of terror. In the aftermath, the heroes are celebrated as heroes, and the galaxy begins to rebuild in the wake of the war.
Like JJ it basically rewrote ANH

The year was 2054, and the world had changed beyond recognition. Advances in technology had created a new age of exploration and discovery, and humanity had reached out into the stars. But with this newfound power came new dangers, and the delicate balance of peace was threatened by the rise of powerful factions vying for control of the galaxy.
As the captain of the starship Aurora, it was my duty to protect and defend our way of life. I had seen my fair share of battles, but nothing could prepare me for what was about to come. It started with a simple mission, a routine patrol on the outer edges of our territory. But as we entered the Dormir system, we received a distress call from a nearby planet. It was a trap, and we were about to be pulled into a conflict that would shake the foundations of our world.

I don't think it will replace the majority of lawyers but it will start to remove tasks from Assistants and eventually make their jobs redundant. Smart lawyers will be using this already to take tasks off their plate.
This is getting a little scary for people with regular jobs like content writing.. even accounting / law / coders with gpt 3.
I was chatting about that with my one of the people who I contract to today. I had to write a proposal to a client and I gave chatgpt the first strike at writing the intro and the key body parts and its a little wordy but it gave me a really good basis to go on.
With tools like this and copysmith AI, yeah I can see where content writing, and social media posting for businesses can be done by AI.
