I'm finally playing the remake of Final Fantasy 7 on ps5. Just the opening sequence has me incredibly moved. Nostalgia overload
Man, I still remember that E3 where they announced it. During that announcement trailer everybody was praying it was not a movie . . . then they throw up that "Remake" banner. Amazing to all the people in that hall. It was ####ing wild, gamers losing their #### across the internet.
I wish I could feel this nostalgia. FF VII is something I never played on the original release (just like most of FF) so I've never really gotten the series. As an outsider just coming into the remakes, there is certainly something lacking if you don't have that nostalgia factor and you are approaching it just as a new IP/game to you.

I'm in the same boat. I actually stopped playing the FF7 remake as I wasn't a big fan of the combat and didn't have any sort of nostaglia for the original games. Kind of wishes I had a PS1 as a kid, haha.

Anyone else playing Dragon's Dogma 2? I'm enjoying my time with it. Maybe my only gripe is how limited fast travel can be? I guess I've gotten used to modern games and how quickly you can zip around a map. The pawn system is great and I'm surprised we've never seem other games copy this mechanic. I love searching for unique looking pawns, players can get pretty creative with what they create.
I hadn't heard about this one until today. I'm excited for it. I've come to love open world games and I've always enjoyed a good Star Wars game. This one will be good for me... Having only just gotten into RDR2 I better hurry up and make it through very soon as I'm sure to be picking up this game near the end of this year.
I didn't know that the game was published in a magazine!
Man I remember that, entering in games from a magazine line by line.
I remember I did some kind of helicopter game, and at the time I didn't have any way to save it! I hadn't yet convinced my parents to buy me a tape deck to save programs on.
So when I eventually had to turn off the computer *poof* it was all gone.

It was supposed to have come out I believe in late Feb early March but they pushed the game back. Epic sends me like 5 notifications to pre order but they did that in like October too.
