LOL Sutter..... So is it still nepotism when he averages a goal a game and makes the team?

Nice game.

I put no stock in the score, since the Oilers were missing both their players. But it's good to see the big off-season acquisitions finding some chemistry on the team.

Stone was solid. I am not sure he wants or needs a shot. I think he's happy being a call-on-when-needed 7th/8th defenseman.

A few more notes from the game:
- I don't believe I've ever seen Lucic play so many minutes per game in Flames uniform. hird period was almost all Lucic. Not sure why.
- Toffoli was playing his normal game, but looked clearly out-of-step with Lindholm and Huberdeau - slower, not anticipating a pass, not as skilled. This is a concern. I hope he will/can pull himself up to their level.
- Weegar is a stud! Sign him now, Brad.

My thoughts

Huberdeau is in fact a passing wizard

Weager looked good. Like another Hanifin.

Kadri looked super Rusty.

Wolf is great.

Stone should be starting.

Didn’t see much of Lindholm.

PP1 looked good.

Big Z looked solid.

The Wranglers are going to have a lot of good players this season

I liked how Sutter mentioned that Z had a great camp so far, so he's pushing for a bigger role. Competition is always a good thing.

I thought Toffoli and Huberdeau looked way better together as the game went on.

I agree on the Toffoli comment. Not top line material.

If Wolf ever becomes a starter with the big club, the fans howling is gonna be out of control.

And the endless memes/clips for him will be awesome. Pulp Fiction, Terminator 2, Teen Wolf, etc.
