Women’s Free Skate starts in about 10 minutes. Ice Dance just over an hour away.

If I understand the scoring correctly, the worst score you can get is 6 points for your team and the best is 10 points?
That means the worst Canada can do is 67 points total (55+12). Conversely, the best the Russians can do is 68 points (48+20) and the Americans can get to 64 (44+20). So, Canada is guaranteed the Silver and virtually guaranteed the Gold.
Is that right?

Women's Free Skate (Gabrielle Daleman) is scheduled to start in 10 minutes at 7:10PM and the Ice Dancing Free (Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir) is scheduled to start at 8:20PM

I believe that is correct. Canada would have to finish last in both events and Russia wins both. Might happen in women’s but not in dance.

Quick skating math check - Canada's minimum is 67 points (last in both disciplines) Russia's max is 68.
Unless Virtue and Moir go out and take an actual dump at center ice, it's in the bag.
Edit - wow page load lag - yes, what getbak said above.

Weird to not see any reaction from te rest of the team after that score was announced. they had to know what it would take to clinch GOLD.
