Have the Jays said if they have e Manoah on an innings limit? He's not trending high but of they make a deep run it might make sense not to have him start.

1st in hits
1st in obp

Oh and he's 22

They’re going to give him $350M.
At least.

On August 27th the Jays were:
3-7 in their last 10 games
6.5 games out of the 2nd wild card (Boston)
9.5 games behind the 1st wild card (Yankees)
also behind the A's (3 games) and M's (2 games) in the standings
Since then they've gone 15-2, and the funny thing is that both losses were to Baltimore of all teams
They've also outscored the opposition 128 to 66
+62 differential in 17 games
7.52 runs per game
3.88 runs against per game
Hopefully they can keep this hot streak going. I can't believe what we are witnessing right now.

Why would they not factor it in?
I mean....its almost unprecedented what he is doing.

I agree. They definitely have to factor it in. He's 9-2 with a 3.36 ERA. That is pretty fricking impressive for a guy with 44 homeruns. Unless something drastic happens, I think the MVP belongs to Ohtani.

If you watch the US media coverage, the race isn’t even close, it’s all Ohtani.
The triple crown and the traditional hitting stats are less important now, WAR is becoming the more important number.

As good as Guerrero is, Ohtani is a literal unicorn (ok, not literally).
He deserves the MVP.

During the broadcast they said no as he threw a lot of innings each year in college.

The argument for Ohtani vs Guerrero has to be swinging back Guerrero’s way, no?
Ohtani has cooled off a bit, and Guerrero is back on fire. The Blue Jays are in a playoff spot and the Angels aren’t.
As of right now, it’s certainly not a runaway for Ohtani.

That's one of the arguments for Ohtani, as he is literally winning games by himself; he's pitching and driving in his own runs. Whereas Vladdy is on a stacked team.

I love Vladdy, but Ohtani is keeping up with him PLUS being an all-star starting pitcher. It won't be close.
Anyways, lets worry about getting a playoff spot first, MVP talk is just noise that even the players don't care about.
And to the earlier question, after the last 6 games, I don't know who our best starter is. Matz, Berrios and Manoah have played lights out, while Ray and Ryu looked like they belonged in Buffalo in their last starts. Changes by the day, but all I know is that its a great starting rotation.

Springer's agent needs to have a talk with the guy. Seemingly little regard for his own health
