The best scenario would be that we draft McDavid and Kulak becomes the next Brodie.

Does Kylington have a chance to make the NHL next year?

If he doesn't, any chance he comes to the AHL?

I think it's definitely possible that he is an NHLer next year. He has the height and wheels to do so. I don't know that would be in his best interest though. He could go to the AHL because he's a euro player if the team that selects him wants him to, however I think he would be better off playing in the men's league in Sweden.

I'm more excited about this draft than in years past. Even though the Flames may not even have a top-5 pick this year, something tells me they'll get a stud.

New ranking, but no surprise: Connor McDavid still sitting at No. 1

^ Sprong and Roy 15 and 16? Makes me happy, those are the two I am high on.

I think when all is said and done, we'll be drafting in the Top 10 (my guess is in the 5-8 range), so hopefully we can get someone a little higher up than Sprong or Roy. Hanafin will probably be out of reach, but my guess is we'd be able to grab one of Kylington or Werenski.

With the quality of the forwards, it might not be a complete shock to get Hanifin if we're picking 5th. Assuming the bottom 4 remains the same (Edmonton, Carolina, Arizona, and Buffalo), none of those teams has a dramatic need for defensemen other than Edmonton (who should be picking 1st/2nd if things continue)

With the quality of Strome, Marner, Zacha, and Barzal, it wouldn't entirely shock me if forwards went 1-4.

If we're picking anywhere from 5-7 we should be able to snag one of the big 3 D-men.
