I have a very trimmed (short) beard. Working mostly from home I only trim the neck a couple of times a week. If I’m going to see a client that’s the trigger to trim. I hate unkempt beards.

I’ve been a couple of times for a day early in the tournament. It’s definitely worth it to go, especially early on. Tickets to the outer courts were reasonably priced and going early meant lots of good players were on the outside courts. We lucked out the first year in 2014 and saw Genie Bouchard on court 5 the year she went to the semifinals. Pretty cool being mere meters away from the players. We also saw Pospisil that year. In 2017 we got tickets to court 1, the old bull ring in one of its final years before the renos. Those tickets also gave us access to the outer courts where in the 35 degree heat we watched Roanic beat upon some guy from Belgium.

I’m sure the other majors are similar early in the tournament, highly recommend.

Yep, logging truck got jammed under a bridge, you can see the arms that usually keep the logs on the trailer all bent back.

Most likely. It's surprisingly common in areas of low bridges as there are plenty of youtube videos of low bridges that truck drivers rip the tops off their trucks over, and over, and over. It matters not how many signs you put up as a lot of truck drivers just don't pay attention.

I thought those were the reflective pylon/saw horse type sign things that were used to attempt to prevent people from driving under the bridge... Your explanation makes way more sense.

An ex coworker of mine years ago hit a bridge on a highway overpass near Edson. Police were going to charge him and Alberta Transportation came after our employer for damages until it was pointed out the sign was wrong. They had paved the road a few times over the years and the clearance was lower than the signage indicated.

There's video of it too, looks like to be after that picture was taken since he's further forward.

No idea what a logging truck is even doing downtown.

I'm eating Maltesers and a friend runs up behind me and screams, "MALTA ZARR!!!"

For a moment in time, I was so confused and startled, I thought I was a dead muggle.

I was driving home from golf and noticed a few stations in High River that still had gas at $179.9. I pull in to top off my tank and see a guy filling 5 jerry cans of 20 liters each. Smart idea given how prices keep going up and up.

2.26 and up on Vancouver Island and Abbotsford, 2.18 in Tofino when we left a couple days ago, so who knows where it will end.

I forgot to fill up on gas.

*looks at 1/4th and 2/5th tanks*

Oh... that's going to cost an extra $20-30 to fill up than a few days ago.
