No, and if you saw my closet with jerseys you’d understand why. I have about 18 jerseys from various leagues and teams. I own thousands of dollars of stuff, including a one-of-a-kind helmet. Even with the recent rebranding I probably won’t buy any more unless it’s something wearable for daily use like a hoodie.

I hope that the (small) movement to four-down football is dead. I wonder if some of the reason for discussing this is to keep the CFL being discussed in the off-season.

^^ I think they could do a lot better in terms of keeping the CFL in the forefront. I appreciate the CFL draft is a lot smaller, and UFA signings are now few and far between, but how about some coverage of the off-season workouts Nick Arbuckle is hosting in California. Maybe some profiles of the “off-season” jobs some guys have? Anything to put a bigger profile on the players, coaches, staff, etc.

IMO if they were to go 4 down ball it's likely a matter of time until an XFL merger. The 4 down talk is strange because it would necessitate going to NFL sized fields as teams could easily dink and dunk down the field with ease on the Canadian field.

I don't think they are doing it this year, but pre Covid Brodie Lawson has a great series called The Grind on the CFL website, where she went south and did workouts with a bunch of the players, got to see a bit behind the scenes etc. It would have been great to see some of this on TSN.
https://www.cfl.ca/thegrind/
This week is the national scouting combine, and CFL.ca is streaming coverage Saturday and Sunday:

Well there you go. I'm a CFL fan, former STHer (didn't renew this year), and relatively tech savvy in terms of following the CFL on twitter, etc. Yet, this is the first time I've heard of this series... sigh.

Some vintage stuff here....back when the best American players came to Canada because they could make more money. But Tony was still better than all of them at one point.
Hard to believe but true all the same.

Ive known Paj for 45 or so years, (unfortunately he is not well) and to this day that man has the largest hands i have ever seen on a human being.
Legendary player as was Eagle Day.
Great photo.

So it appears that Arash Madani and Randy Ambrosie are having a bit of a squabble of late regarding CFL rule changes including the potential of going to four down football. Arash claims that the Stamps and Argos voted in favor of going to four downs.

I can definitely see the appeal for Toronto but curious that the Stamps would be the other team. I suspect the lack of new facilities and decline of attendance has the Stamps looking at other means of revenue as IMO moving to 4 downs would lead to merging with the XFL. Stamps are in a pretty bad position relative to the most of the league that has either new or renovated facilities.

Arash Madani is the worst sports reporter in Canada by a country mile. And that’s no small feat. The guy is a loser and always has been. He also hates the cfl.

I'm not sure why purists are so gung-ho about CFL rules. Interest in the NFL is soaring and the fan bases in the CFL are sagging.
Doesn't it at least warrant a good-faith discussion about rule changes to align itself more with the NFL if it gets butts in the seats?
