Is it just just my neighbourhood or have all of the sidewalks developed a thin layer of ice overnight?

Not just you, super sketchy bike ride in this morning. Almost bailed twice getting out of my neighbourhood to the Bow river pathway. Then once on the pathway you couldn't tell what was wet and what was sheer ice. I'd drop a foot onto the pathway every now and then to tell if it was friction or slick.

LOL, ya, I dragged a foot through many sections this morning. Didn't bail, but had no idea how greasy it was until I put my foot down. That was eye opening! Took it really gentle.

Some roads were definitely very slipper/ended up sliding a bit when stopping

Thanks to my jetlag, I was up at 3 am and stepped outside to find it raining. Calgary weather is so weird.

Your sacrifice is appreciated; if that makes you feel any better.

Aspen here. had a crazy walk to school with the kids. I think the air must have been humid last night when it froze. Everything was covered in a sheen of ice.

Yeah. Saw multiple vehicles end up on a front lawn this morning. It was off Lake Bonavista drive in a section where it curves a bit. Dangerous area this morning. It looked completely fine driving up to it.

It rained at my place in Killarney, started about 9 pm last night. There was light ice early on but gone now.

Roads back from Canmore were a skating rink this morning around 11. It took me two hours to get home. Scott Lake Hill was a mess in both directions.

I appreciate the strugglers self identifying by turning on their hazards, though. Like, we're in a traffic jam. Your hazards look like your signal light is on to literally everyone except the person directly behind you who can just happen to see both your lights, you GD fataing morons. Second, you're not helping. You're just acting as though you're special. Turn on your lights, drive in a predictable manner, and don't be a tit. That's the extent of what you have to do, unless you do need special treatment from the rest of us like if your car broke down or you have a flat tire. Otherwise, turn your fataing hazards off.

Not weather, but I didn't think it was worthy of its own thread.
