What is Dillon Dube?
What is the consensus on Dube's play now that we're 25% of the way through the season?
2021-2022 GP 22 Goals 2 Assists 7 Pts 9
Currently on pace for 35-40 points, which seems to be an improvement on his previous season pace of around ~30 points over 82 games. However his goals output is down compared with last season.
Where do we see the ceiling for this player? Is he destined to be replaced by the likes of Zary, (maybe Phillips?) and Pelletier before he gets a 'proper shot' at the Top Six?

Dammit, Locke beat me to the joke.
Okay, serious answer time: He ends up becoming the next Andrew Cogliano. Good speed bottom sixer who can chip in some offense and (maybe) play solid defense. He'll have a long career if he can learn how to be strong defensively. He still has some work to do there.

He’s more effective at centre. I’d move Monahan to left wing. He can still take faceoffs.

His game leaves you wanting more but if he continues his current trajectory I think he turns into a 3rd line center who plays a consistent two way game and can chip in offensively in spurts throughout a season.

He's pretty productive considering he's not really on the powerplay and he has Pitlick as a linemate. Seems like a good 3rd liner already.

He's got potential. If he had half the heart of eat bread man his game would change.
Burke called it truculence I believe.
But I agree with above poster in that he leaves you wanting more. Under Sutter I hope he learns something and takes it to the next level.

He's 6th amongst forwards in ixG, iSCF and iHDCF and 2nd in xGF60 five on five so I think there's some puck luck at work too.
I'm hoping Monahan's bump in the Pittsburgh game (finding teammates, better on the cycle) gives Dube someone to play with as for the most part he's been playing with two guys that have a lot of plays die on their sticks.

Has shown promise in the past. Going through struggles now because that's what happens to most young players. I think he bounces back at some point (this year? Next year?) to being a solid all around middle 6 guy.

I hope he continues to develop but I would bet on him settling into being solid/valuable middle 6 forward.

I thought he had good chemistry with Lucic. I wouldn't mind seeing Looch moved up with Monahan and Dube to try and get those two going, although it would be hard to break up the 4th line when it is working so well

Last time I looked his numbers on the PK are crazy good. His HD chances for and against were 6 for 2 against on the PK! Mangiapane and Coleman’s PK numbers are crazy good too

He's a solid 3rd liner who can play 2nd line minutes if there's an injury. I still think there's room for growth, I don't think he's topped out yet. But as of this moment that's all he is.

He, and Monahan, are two guys who are struggling but doing better under the Sutter system every game. They will hit their grove soon once they start getting some puck luck, but also desperately need an upgrade on the RW....someone named Jakob Pelletier for example.
