Shapo wins the set after saving three break points. Narrowly avoiding a massive choke in the process.

Yeah, a little wobbly is putting it mildly, but he settled down just in time.

LOL of all the places for him to come up, I never imagined it would be in a tennis thread!

Shapo rolling this 2nd set, I don't know how much Murray has left to come back, BUT he is an all time great so it's not over yet.

That serve was 99% out, but that means it was 100% in.

Shapo might have to change his Nike shoes for some Bauer Supremes if this continues.

FFS Denis, get out of your own damn way. Two double faults in that game at inopportune times to let Murray hang in there, that incredible miss at the net, gets an easy winner opportunity on the next point and misses by a mile, challenges a ball 6" out... barely hangs in to take the game. That was the first set all over again all in a single game.

This is some pretty sloppy play. Shapo not really looking like a contender but advancing is ultimately all that matters.

I don't know, I think it's much better if there is a crowd (even if they are rooting against Denis) than no crowd at all. He's a showman and can channel that energy in a positive fashion.

You have to admire the fighting spirit of Andy, but it's pretty clear he's just not as mobile as he used to be. There are a number of shots that the younger Andy (pre hip surgery) would have gotten to that he's not even close to returning today.

Denis isn't going to send the patrons home with a bagel, is he?
