As much as Im a Pats fan, Im also realistic. They wont be crushing the Titans even with all of those players out.
The Pats have a number of players that are questionable for the game as well inc Hightower, Henry, Harris, Brown and Barmore.
We still have a rookie QB and the Titans D can be pretty ferocious itself, that will provide schemes he hasnt dealt with before. Jones needs to step up and prove himself over the next few weeks, this is where the season lays for the team. Titans, Bills, Colts and Bills again. Need to take at least 2 of those, hopefully 3.

as of today the playoff picture presents some great match ups.
In the AFC the Titans get the bye
Chargers are at Ravens
Bengals at Bills
Pats at KC
In the NFC the Cards get the bye
Niners at Packers
Vikings at Bucs
Rams at Cowboys

I’m not going to lie, as a Titans fan, making the playoffs is questionable at best.

They will still make playoffs, they just need to get healthy. If they have a healthy AJ Brown and Julio and their defense gets healthy again they should beat at least the Jags, and Texans. Plus they got San Fran on a Thursday nighter and the Dolphins with 10 day rest.

I really hate NFL OT, so much comes down to a coin toss

Not a fan either, the college model seems better although they should start the possession a little further out so a FG isn’t a gimme. That said, I’d like to see the stats on how many NFL games end in the first possession in OT. If both teams get a possession most of the time maybe it’s not so bad.

There have been 17 overtime games this year and only thrice has a team taken the ball and scored a TD to win on the first drive. If there was any change to OT I'd make I'd want it to be you have to score a TD AND get the two point convert to win if you get the ball first. Would add a fun new strategic element to OT.

That is a good suggestion.
Also, how come the NFL trade deadline is so early in the season anyway? You'd figure it would make more sense to have the trade deadline around the Thanksgiving time since as mentioned, you have more of an idea of who are the contenders and pretenders.

that Steelers defense is so, so bad once again. I know there's injuries, but come on ... this is embarrassing.

As a Steelers fan, Ben was done two years ago with that injury. I was hoping they would have made more of an effort to move on from him by now but it appears they haven't even really tried.

I'm glad Cam got his feel good homecoming and all, but the man is not an NFL QB anymore. 5/21 for 92 yards and 2 picks ... yikes.

That Titans game was awful but expected, hopefully we’ll get some players back after the bye.
