Im sure the league office is pleased with this kind of ineptitude being displayed the one day during the season where there are very few other sport viewing options and in fact around a game that people gather to watch as an event.

That was remarkable stuff to witness.

Campbell has a six year contract, and the Lions have probably the worst roster in the league. He will get next year, at least. This is a huge rebuild, with cap hell to consider.

Funny thing in football is that if Detroit had not called that 2nd timeout in a row or if the ref ignored the 2nd timeout like they're supposed to and Chicago busted the play open and scored a TD, they're up 7 at most and maybe 5. Detroit has 1:30 left and 2 timeouts. Much better than what ended up happening.

well this is going better than expected...hopefully the Raiders distractions are behind them and they can get back to playing like they were before Gruden/Ruggs

I think the Stafford years were never technically considered a rebuild, even if they weren't very good.

It's funny because it's the Cowboys but they have really had a raw deal with the officiating today. Just some awful calls going against them.

No wonder that organization is such a mess. Why on Earth would you give Campbell a 6 year deal?

I don't expect the team to win a lot with that roster, but the penalty's and horrid clock management are 100% on the coaching. He took on the play calling from a more exprerienced guy only to see the offence get worse, meanwhile the defence bungles the last 4 minutes.

Well those were some quick points in this Dallas game. Not sure why the Cowboys don't try for two there. I don't know if there are enough possessions left in this game where getting the 1 point over 0 makes much of a difference.

Cowboys have (for once) got the short end of the officiating stick, but this is just terrible reffing all around. On track for 200+ yards of penalties combined, just ruins the game.
