It was interesting Xander used his extra vote, because he really seems to have been on top of all the votes in the past. So he was maybe thinking Erika wasn't all that solid.
That episode...well...I caught up on VOD, since i didn't watch it last night, and I was still bored enough that I read my book through the last half of it.
That has never happened before.
This season is bad.

Just to perfectly sum up this season, Deshaun and Danny had no fight to stay in the game. Why not even try your shot in the dark? It's not like your vote mattered anyways as you were already reserved to going home. I'm quietly hoping that they do a flashback next week and show how Heather was actually the mastermind behind all of the move and the tried to show her as though she was useless.

I don't know why they voted Danny out. Deshaun has been building this story, and has relationships with many on the jury. Danny did nothing. Between the 2, the choice is pretty obvious.

I had to laugh at Deshaun's comment about "I don't want anything I said about race to affect the game just play as you normally would" its like come on you honestly weren't saying any of that to pander to the jury? To try and make amends with Shan for back stabbing her? I don't doubt that some of it was genuine, but you can't tell me you're not trying to tip the scales in your favour.
I dunno, this season was just so bleh. Survivor is trying so hard to be 'woke' it has detracted from the actual gameplay.
One amazing tribal with Xander completely fooling Liana, otherwise it's been a snooze. Hopefully ratings took a hit this year so they come back with something better.
This is like another Marvel character origins movie. I'm watching it because at this point I feel like I have to based on what I have invested (in this season and the series), but it can end any time and I am ok with that.

A Richard Erica Xander final three would be a decent final three.
Yeah, that'd be a 'deserving' three in a bad season. Can't see Erica winning against either of them though, unless she pitches hard and/or gets a bitter jury (which doesn't seem to be the case, beyond Shan so far).
