I think a lesson for Canada here is to find a better breaststroke swimmer. Everyone else did very well against the Americans and Australians.

Bronze!!

A better swimmer for the breaststroke and we’d be there with the US and AUS powerhouses.

Wow, you guys are harsh.
How about congratulations to Pickrem for her first medal and maybe half an hour before planning how to replace her.

Erica Wiebe is the next match up. Here’s the link.

Pickrem deserves extra credit and congratulations for her great interview right after the race

She does, she's not even a breaststroke.

Sorry? I said they were awesome. I thought the fact that our team was essentially best in world in 3 of 4 disciplines was fantastic. No shame in seeing where the gap was between us and the winners.

Was looking at the swimmers for the relay tonight on Canada and was looking at heights and it says Sydney Pickrem is 5’3” to 5’7” for Maggie and 5’8” for Kylie. But on the podium they’re all roughly the same height. Wonder if someone had a data entry problem.

Edit: one of the sites has her at 5’9”. Almost makes me want to sign up for Wikipedia and edit it.

Edit2: Someone else was bugged on the same thing and it was edited on Wikipedia five minutes ago.

The golf leaderboard is absolutely jammed right now, course is playing very easy so could see a lot of action coming in.

Just watched the boxing light heavyweight qf between Brit and French fighter with the French fighter disqualified (rightly) for continuous use of the head.

The rules seem a little silly.
Sustain a cut from a headclash leading to a stoppage and it goes to points at that time.
Get cut from a headclash that doesn't lead to the fight being stopped at that time but if opened further by a punch then it's a stoppage.

Just watched the very end, but that France Brazil volleyball match was crazy. Second set ended 39-37. Fifth set ended 20-18.

The longest vball match in Olympic history.

Poland wins the mixed 4x400 mixed relay. That just seems very random

The French boxer is protesting and not leaving the ring. But the next fight is not for 3 hours heh.

What a round of golf by Rory Sabbatini, 61 to take solo second, currently one shot behind Xander

We could end up with playoffs for gold, silver, and bronze with how tight things are.

BTW there is a playoff for every medal, there will be no joint medals. So there could be a bunch of them.

If Zverev and Sabbatini win gold they should remove these sports from the Olympics

If Sabbatini wins we're going to see more midlevel PGA players marrying into countries that have spots lol.

Looking like 3 guys for 3 medals. No one else can get to -16 or -17.

Unless Matsuyama drops to -15 then we've got a massive playoff for bronze.
