I mean really, I'd rather do it in person to facilitate throat punching

What’s the over-under on the number of votes this guy gets? About 3,500 perhaps?

What did the tertiary candidate after Nenshi and Smith get last time? I’d say somewhere that and Larry Heather.

When he ran for mayor in Mississauga in 2018, he came in second and got 13.5% of the vote. That was after he had been charged with promoting hatred.

Andre Chabot was a distant third.
After that, there was a bunch of candidates between 1700 and 400 votes.

I’m looking for examples of really good webpages of local elected officials in Calgary or anywhere in Canada. If you’re aware of any, please post or send me the links. This is for a project I’m working on.

I’m looking for webpages of actual elected city/town councillors, not wannabes. They can be for any city or town in Canada. I’ve found a few but need more examples. Looking for good content, not canned stuff.

He also said good, but once upon a time Larry Heather would sport the title "Professional web designer" if the website address was www.geocities.com/sodomandgomorrah/2021.

Nenshi announcement about running (or not) for a 4th term would be my guess.

Good run for him overall. Big shoes for the next one to fill to be just as good, if not better. Hopefully Gondek will be the one replace him, and not Farkas or any of the other "run city hall like a business" type of candidates.

I hope you all vote for Jyoti. She upset me with her narrow minded position on the green line alignment, but overall she’s a good person who cares a lot about seeing the city grow.
Farkas and his ilk don’t even know how to run a business. He’s like Kenney, only knows how to campaign and be an attention whore.
Please don’t vote for someone like that Calgary.

I looked at Farka's background and it appears he, like Kenney, has no private sector experience - he's basically spent his time prior to Council working at the University of Calgary and at the Manning Centre (right-wing think tank).
I've never understood what it is about career politicians who want to operate government "like a business" when they've never actually done anything relevant in the private sector. It's like they read a book on capitalism for Political Science 201 and suddenly they're titans of industry.
That, or they are simply jealous of the private pay scales versus the defined salary brackets for public service. Who knows. Probably column A and column B.

I'm definitely voting for Gondek over Farkas, but I think it's an uphill battle.

I just pray that no other progressive candidates see this as an opportunity to jump in.
Ward 11 had 2 good progressive candidates, 2 medicore progressive candidates, and Farkas.
Guess who won with the split vote. Please don't let this be a repeat for mayor.
