Goddam it.

yeah, exactly
but he did hit it hard today, so hopefully he can build on that

Ryu with a mild glute strain. Makes sense...the Rays have always been a pain in the ass.

Feels like they stole that one....good.
Gotta get the bats going though....and that includes Super Bo who is not thinking or realizing situations very well.

Bullpen has been incredible this year. So many weapons.

It's crazy that they've been this good while pretty much missing their three best bullpen weapons (on paper) most or all of the time in Romano, Merryweather and of course Yates who we'll not even get to see.

Ray is saying that he doesn’t think he’ll even miss a start so that’s good. Glad they took him out just in case but it sounds like he’ll be back pretty shortly. Also nice to have a day off tomorrow to rest the bullpen. Springer joining the lineup Tuesday would be great too.
It’s funny we’ve won every series against the East and lost against lesser teams.

Good thing the AL East is tame this year. Jays have some runway to get healthy and get over this ridiculously bad luck spell.

Of course he's not. I'm not convinced that we'll ever seen him play in a Jay's uniform. Half kidding of course, but it's starting to feel a little Donaldsonesque. A multitude of little injuries that will result in him playing 80-100 games per season going forward. Boy I hope I'm wrong, but a lifetime of being a Jay's and Flames fan have left me a glass half empty kind of guy.

Anyone remember Mike Sirotka?
Totally different severity of injury but has the same sort of feeling to it from a fan perspective

The only way it becomes a Donaldson situation is if they completely mishandle Springer and deliberately alienate him before selling him for pennies on the dollar.
It looks like they learned something from that debacle, at least.

Can't help but think Scherzer is going to dice us up tonight.

Did the Jays seriously have their lead off hitter bunt in the first inning? I guess it worked, but seems...dumb.

Trea turner is like 150ibs soaking wet. Impressive that he's got some pop in that bat.
On the plus side Scherzer is looking hitable tonight with lots of hard contact. Jay's just need to stay out of the double play.

Wow is that HR in a real MLB ball park? Seemed like a half swing at a pitch off the plate fly outside the park.
