Fine, but it's only really like this against the Yankees.

they played the Rays and the Marlins in Florida

even the Boston games were road games in FLA, as were the Phillie games

it has been a really tough season for them

Okay, they're cooking now. Men on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out.

in fact, Guerrero should have been safe and the game would be over now

Back to .500 and firmly in 4th in the division.

Jays will need to go 57-39 to get to 90 wins which is what it'll take to get the wildcard this year. Not unattainable but with the bullpen the way it is and management complacent in the losing its going to be hard to overcome.

Vladdy was safe back at 3rd, and that was definitely not a foul ball. The Jays deserved to have that one in the win column.

I can’t believe they haven’t added a pitcher or two. This team is primed for a run.

So similar to the Flames in many ways. There seems to be no plan.

100% agree. Was just going to make the same comparison.

A boat filled with talent that's completely rudderless at this point.

That’s not really fair. Unlike the Flames who have little talent in the pipeline the Jays have a ton of it. We have lots of players in AA or AAA who will be here in the next year or two. They have just had some bad luck on the injury front on both sides of the ball. Also they are underperforming what their talent should be. Part of this is crappy bullpen but it is also clutch hitting. Despite clutch hitting not being a predictive thing the Jays even with their top five offense are bottom five in clutch hitting. A major part of that is Grichuk, Gurriel and Biggio.

Now hopefully it normalizes but I think it’s a sign of being a young team. Also a sign of missing Springer. Now I think their bullpen needs some reinforcements (from within or without) but I think just getting Springer back will be huge. I think with him we win this game tonight and several other during this rough streak.
