My face being the first thing you see when you open up your eyes tomorrow simply isn't going to happen. Write it on your own forehead if you want a reminder.

Sliver, you can be whoever you want. Don't ever let anyone tell you different.

If you tell the right person, they'll change your driver's license and your insurance will go down.

Anyone else remember this C&D article about a stealth Corvette built to infiltrate Area 51?

https://m.facebook.com/media/set/?se...6491511&type=3

It was in a 1990 issue. Does that make me a car guy?

I actually remember that article. That was my favorite car decade. The 300ZX TT was on the horizon and started the comparisons to the Corvette. Soon Mazda, Toyota, and even Mitsubishi got into the act. A lot of the greatest cars ever came from that decade.

GR Corolla first drives are out. Not extensive but the car looks promising. Good to see Toyota's renewed dedication to sporty cars.

I don't understand how one can subscribe to C&D for 32 years when they're clearly 15 years old.

Easily my favourite vehicle body type and I hate everything new on the market.

I passed a Ford Maverick the other day and it was pretty cool, but it looked about the size of my old 2000 Silverado.

I get Men's Journal or now. I subscribed to Bike Magazine for years, it was great. But it went under, so they just assumed I would be interested in this and transferred the remains of my subscrition. It actually has some pretty good stories, like one on Tether(crpto) being a massive fraud, and the endurance race in China where loads of athletes froze to death. Real journalism is still alive!

15 years? No way, I was reading Car and Driver when I was in junior high back in the mid 90s.

Yeah I vividly remember a mid 90s Viper on the cover of an issue I bought.

Edit… maybe I’m thinking Road and Track.

Road and Track was undoubtedly the pinnacle of automotive journalism through 1990-2000s.

It's not the magazine that is 15 years old.

These are Car and Driver magazines from the 90s. You'll have to do more to explain your notion that the C&D is only 15 years old. I don't understand where you are coming from.

He is alluding to EE acting like he's 15 years old.

I see, I'm an idiot obviously. I interpreted his first comment as alluding to the magazine being 15 years old. Lost in interpretation.

That's ok. You're clearly the biggest magazine history guy on here, so it's understandable you got excited

Can you save a page in this thread, from being so blindingly cringe-worthy? I mean, you do continue to meet my expectations. But still.

I don't know. I always ranked them C&D>R&T>Motor Trend. R&T has been reduced to a bi-monthly sister publication of C&D. They don't do as much testing or comparisons but some of their road trip stories are pretty cool.
