Anyway, on another topic, Leeds was fun to watch today as they do play a really aggressive press and are constantly attacking. I know they didn’t appreciate the comment this week that they only came up because of the Covid break, but after watching them I wonder if there’s some truth to that. They’ve got everyone running hard for 90 minutes. There’s no way that’s sustainable, right? It’s entertaining, but having players sprint the length of the field time and time again has to be a recipe for disaster as the season progresses?
I think they stay up, but at the same time it’s got to catch up with them.

Fun to watch at times, glad they're back but they shouldn't have gone after Karen Carney on social media. Their fans are inundating her with misogynistic BS and she's had to shut her social media. I love them but Ian Wright, Keano etc say way more controversial things and don't get singled out. Their fans are whining like a bunch of thin skinned babies whipped into a frenzy over a throwaway piece of analysis. Then their greasy owner doubles down on it. So not sad to see them get ####kicked again.

United have won that way my whole lifetime, we all know they're legacy of Fergie time late goals and winners.
Seems sustainable somehow.

Bielsa's been coaching teams this way all over the world for nearly 30 years. Attack and press in the opponents half of the field for 90 minutes.

Yeah, but SAF was a whole different class of manager. I’ve seen nothing from OGS that puts him anywhere near that conversation. I don’t think it’s sustainable, but I guess we’ll see.

... Pep and Poch both cite him as major inspirations for their tactics too.
Fun to watch, but glad Spurs won, obviously. COYS!

The greatest story is Bielsa scouting Pochettino. He came to the Poch household and at like 2am he wanted to have a look at Mauricio, who was sleeping. He looked at his legs, and said “he looks like a footballer”, so having never seen him play or anything, he signed him!

Well he's being sued for commercial fraud at the moment due to some deal he did with state owned Chinese companies but that is an aside to me, I dunno much about it other than seeing his name in the press here and a couple times before due to other trials. Maybe par for the course for guys this rich?
To me he's a greaseball because when Leeds social media started getting raked and the dumb broad comments started raining down he stepped up and said, he takes responsibility for the tweet himself and that she shouldn't have said what she did.
Would have been very easy to back down and make an effort to stop the harassment. They still have the tweet up.

No we didn't. But I've a feeling you're going to outdo yourself and present some wonderfully conclusive video to back up your claim.

This sounds creepy and potentially an intermediate felony.

there is way too much focus on United getting penalties. There is one team that has gotten a lot more penalties than everybody else this season, but it's not United.
10 - Leicester
6 - Man United, Brighton
5 - Chelsea, Liverpool, Fulham
yet a lot of people always go "yeah, but penalties" when it comes to United. I don't get it.

It’s easy enough to find. Let me guess “he was talking about going to the pool later”

Lol, yeah it’s bizarre. But it was corroborated by Poch, so apparently it happened.

No guessing.
You stated that he was telling Shaw to dive. Let's hear it.

What kind of odds could you get a month ago that Arteta would outlast Lampard?

Leicester have had 33 in their last 59 games
United 16 in 2020, Leicester 12
Before yesterday, United have had more pens this season, then spurs last 3 seasons combined
People call kane a pen merchant, he has 11 in 120 games
Fernandes has 9 in 27

That's just......super.
Now go back and look at how many penalties Utd had when Mourinho was in charge and how many Spurs had under Poch.
Then ask yourself is there a variable that you just might not have considered.
But, yeah, it's all one big giant conspiracy.

Well, there we go - Athletic is already reporting that Chelsea are looking at possible Lampard replacements. The end is surely nigh.

Never said there was, just pointing at stats which showed a bigger picture than the last 20 games

Fine start from Liverpool, already conceded and Thiago has a yellow card inside 4 minutes.
