Either Gudbranson plays on the 3rd pairing and takes minutes away from two of Valimaki, Mackey, or Kylington or he sits in the press box at a $2 million cap hit. I usually try and see the positive in every move, but why?
Unless we're moving another D in a trade, looks like Tre gave up on making a trade to change the forward group and decided to piss away our cap space for the sake of it.
edit: Just saw the Stone re-signing. Maybe we are moving another D? Andersson maybe?

He is really bad, how does he even get an NHL contract. Thought he'd be a PTO at best and league minimum if he was lucky. Would rather have Michael Stone.

On paper, looks like a team that will spend most of its time in the penalty box. Maybe the plan is to miraculously make the playoffs and win a round by breaking the other team's limbs when the refs put their whistles away

IDK I would trade Gio for Coleman and Z personally
Would bet a large sum they have a better winning% this year than last...I agree they need more to be contenders but this signing doesn't make them a bottom 5 team like some seem to suggest.
