Going with Milos Roman. He was a 4th round pick so he must be good.

Ruzicka and Gawdin are interchangeable for me. Went Gawdin but that’s just because I had to choose one.

I like Tuulola out of this group. Something about his play a few preseasons ago really stood out. It wasn't just effort plays, it was hockey IQ and shooting. Really toolsy player, I think some time in Stockton with Braid would do wonders for him.

I don't really like Gawdin or Ruzicka here. Ruzicka with a total no show in the playoffs, huge red flag in my mind. Treliving still questioning his compete level. He's got a lot of improvement to show before he's anywhere near ranked this high IMO. Gawdin is one of those overage dominators. So it'll impress those that love just looking at the stats. But I question how high his upside is. I'm not convinced he's worth voting for in this range either.
I think guys like Tuulola and Lindstrom make more sense here but I guess most don't agree.

How close does it have to be in order to become a run off?

I think at this stage we are getting to the point that even having a cup of coffee at the NHL level is fairly unlikely. Went with Lomberg, who I think has a decent chance to play this year.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

It's pretty situational.
If you have 95% voted for two guys but they are 10 or so votes apart there's not much point.
This one is sizing up for potential because there is only 56% cast for the two guys that are close, throwing the poll to the other 44% to sort things out.
If they finish single digits apart tonight I think that's the plan
(which will be received by joy for 40% of the crowd, disdain by 30%, and ambivalence from the remaining 30%)

He was an overager yes, but was lights out in the playoffs and won WHL playoff MVP. He's got some grit and compete to him and plays the type of game that suits well for a bottom 6 role.
The list of overages that put up big points in juniors only to fade against pros is a long one but I dont think given his resume that an 11th place vote is really a stretch.
I do agree with you that Ruzicka needs to show some more heart but I have Gawdin, Lindstrom, E2 and Joly pretty close right here. Shinkaruk too but I just dont see him getting into any games this season and getting let go after it.. I dont know enough about the new guys and cant vote for the Russians if they are looking like locks to play back home. Lomberg is an AHLer - love the the way he plays though.
I do think Joly is a bit underrated here. Kid had a huge 2nd half to last season and has all the tools.
