If Grossmann does get sent down and does report to Stockton, I predict the Heat will release Aulie.

Brandon Kisker @kiskerbc
Coach Huska provided an update on Jon Gillies, said he’s doubtful for this weekend but hopes to get him on the ice this week. Still a chance

Brandon Kisker @kiskerbc
No decision on who would start on Friday against San Antonio but the Heat coach is comfortable with either McCollum or Rittich.

I'd be okay with this, Grossmann has a lot of experience and from all accounts is a leader with a good attitude. Our young Swede's on the blueline also will likely look up to him a great deal and someone like Kanzig could learn an absolute ton from a similar player.

So Grossman to Stockton and Kanzig to Adirondack.

I wonder if that means the Heat hold onto Aulie for a while longer?

Is Culkin still out injured?

defensive play has been lacking, might not hurt to keep both around to work with the youngsters

I agree. Plus they only have 8 Dmen with both Aulie and Grossman, and I'm pretty sure Culkin is still banged up. He hasn't dressed since Oct 26th when he left the game against the Gulls.

Bailey just had a 4 point game the other day and leads Addy in scoring with 10 points in 6 games since he was sent down.

Edit - 9 points, must have had one taken away since I last looked

Might be an indication that he's getting called up tomorrow.

Janko gets hit hard, but gets right back into the play.

Poirier tried to chase down the SA player that hit Janko.

Unsure. Ferland practiced regularly today. Flames have 12 healthy forwards and a tight salary cap, even with Smid on LTIR.

Jankowski now leads the Heat with 11 points in 9 games.

In those 9 games he has been held pointless in only 1 game.

He also maintains his point/game pro career with 17gp 5g 12a.

Janko is also 2 points behind the AHL rookie lead (who happens to be AJ Greer who is in this game).
