If you’re not up against the cap a GMs job is to try and win
Most GMs don’t last long enough to worry about the last few years of the contract.
If every FA is “overpaid” that’s not overpaid , that’s the market

No, because he was signed as an RFA, last summer.
He would not have been a UFA now.
