Thought the first episode was solid. I love the Grigor character but hope he doesn't actually become the adversary. I think having him in smaller doses will keep him more exciting.
I was disappointed to not see more of Wendy. Now that we have moved on from the Chuck/Ax fight, her character certainly isn't as intriguing without that tension of who she will help or hurt in the skirmishes. But I still think her character is a badass and I hope she does play an integral role in the season.
The opening music intros of Axe and Chuck were simply incredible. I almost fell off my couch laughing at Chuck chair dancing.
Spoiler!
Overall great start, The Chuck storyline, IMO, edged out the Axe one — with the door to door favor for favor salesman routine. I was certain the Commish was coming to an early demise on the road.
Can’t wait for next week!

Although, not as strong as seasons prior, this show just keeps on rolling. I really wish the seasons were longer than 12 episodes - especially this one. I found that this one was just a setup for the next one.
Still, incredible writing and a great reveal in the finale.
It sucks that I have to wait a year for the next 12....
I loved that Axe ultimately believed that he was saving their relationship and doing what was right by making the profitable decision. He seemed surprised when she left.

honestly, I think he had no doubt about how Rebecca was going to react. He was just trying to justify it in his own mind.
Her dream growing up was basically running that store, Axe knew it and blew it up to destroy Taylor.

If Taylor can be critically injured in a tragic staple accident and fall into a coma for all of next year, I'd be fine with it. Instead they're going to put her right in the middle of Axe vs Chuck, which on its own was so good for the first season.
I just don't think that Asia Kate Dillion is very good in this role.

What? OMG, no. They're one of the best parts of this entire show. They are a great foil for the vindictive and emotional Axe, and the scheming and unethical Rhoades' clan. Both the character and the actor are a major part of why I love the show. Lots of great stuff from them throughout this series.

I agree completely.
The show had a great first season. The second season looked to be the typical Showtime "let's see how much juice we can squeeze from this orange" series that would repeat the same story for 7 years, but then Taylor showed up. The slow build of their character as a bit part to a central player was great. The series was ready to fall into a boring yearly battle of dick swinging machismo until they took on a key role.

First episode of the new season was good although the opening scenes with Axelrod and Wags at their retreat thing were pretty hard to watch. I'm not sure why the writers would make them look so corny.
I love the dynamic this season is building. Everyone is openly frenemies and it's going to create a lot of new situations they haven't dealt with before or anticipated. Such a fun show.

Has anyone felt that this season which is going on hiatus for a while after tomorrows episode hasn't been about a lot and been kind of meandering.
I mean
The main plot to take down Bobby has been tax fraud around art. The rivaly between Bobby and Mike Prince that fizzled out after Bobby bought the neighbourhood. Wendy is boinking the artist and Bobby is cyber stalking her. Taylor is doing a lets saved the world environmental fund thing. The bank charter thing is really slow, Chuck Rhodes Senior is dying of kidney failure. But there's no real chess match this year. I was expecting a three way battle royal between Chuck, Taylor and Bobby.
Its just been flat.
