I don't know who wins this deal. Though Carmelo is a great shooter, I don't find the guy particularly anything else? I don't even know if that makes sense, but I find the guy one dimensional. Getting a great shooter is one thing, but if that's all he does, I don't see him winning on any team he's on given the salary he eats up.

Rockets must not have been willing to part with much for Carmelo. Good trade for OKC but makes them older.

Preseason starts tonight for the Raptors. Pleasant surprise in training camp is that OG Anunoby is already participating in scrimmages, which is at least a month ahead of schedule. Sounds like there's some healthy competition for the bottom-of-roster spots, including KJ McDaniels, Andy Rautins, and Kyle Wiltjer.

Funny that the NBA has changed so much that guys like Wiltjer and Rautins even have a shot at the bottom of the roster. Neither of them could stop your Granny from scoring but both can shoot the stinkin ball. All about offense these days and I expect one of those two to make the team and be sent on the floor for spot duty. Heck can they be any worse than DC was / doubt it and they will cost peanuts in comparison.
