I saw them open at Max Bell (I think) for The Cult.

NO ####ing way.
I went through a massive Guns N' Roses phase in High School. I saw the new crappy Guns N Roses at the Saddledome (Awful) and Velvet Revolver (not bad) but seeing Slash and Axl together is obviously the dream.
I hope this is true.

I might go to this, but only if Izzy is confirmed.

There are a lot of rumours that they will be one of the headliners at Coachella this year.

Scott Weiland (STP) hinted last week that G&R would be getting back together.

Always loved GnR. I would hope that their plan is to tour to support a new album.
Although most of the spotlight has, and will be, on Slash and Axl, it's the rest of the band that really completes the 'sound' of Guns n Roses. Slash alone never sounded like GnR, and Axl alone certainly didn't. Velvet Revolver came closest, but lacked the crooning element of Axl's songwriting and singing. I would be excited for an Axl, Slash, Duff reunion, but if they can corral Izzy (and keep him on board), and bring along Adler...yeah.

I'd prefer Matt Sorum to Steven Adler.
One of them has their crap together a bit better.

Reuniting for festivals makes way more sense than a tour. I see almost no scenario where a tour isn't inevitably cancelled because everyone hates each other from spending months together again (or more to the point, everyone hates Axl). But doing a bunch of festivals where they only have to be together sporadically? I can see that working. But if they tour, you'd better get tickets to one of the first 5-10 shows because I don't see it lasting much longer than that.

That would be awesome, I'm also a GnR (and Slash) fan.
Haven't heard any news on Axl recently, does he have his #### together or still the same show-up-late concert type?

Being a ##### for 30 years must be exhausting.

Am I crazy or is GnR kind of overrated? The first album is alright but after that they kind of suck. They were a bit before my time, but I have a vague recollection of November Rain and I thought it was a pretty awful song even at a young age. I always lumped them with other hair bands like Poison but they seem to have inexplicably attained 'legendary' status over the last decade or so.

According to this, you're not going to get Sorum or Adler.

Many outlets have been reporting that a "classic" line-up reunion is in the works, suggesting that the Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler iteration of the band was the one that we'd be seeing. However, if a new report from Melodic Rock is to be believed, the band's new line-up will feature classic GN'R members Axl, Slash and Duff alongside Frank Ferrer and Richard Fortus from Axl's current Guns N' Roses line-up. Long time keyboardist Dizzy Reed will also remain in the band.

Axle is kind of an idiot but the talent and creativity of the band can't be denied. In an era of glam rock like Poison, Warrant, etc, GNR were true rock stars. The range from the raw and angry Appetite for Destruction to the calm melodies of GNR Lies shows of a band that is much more substance than style. Still to this day when one of their songs comes on and Slash gets into one of his classic solo's I just think to myself; "Damn these guys rocked." IMO one of the best rock bands of all time.

i can recall listening to a radio dj almost breathlessly described seeing axl rose on stage with gnr using the following words "and axl looked god like on stage in his white bicycle shorts".
i thought the description included a couple of words i never thought i would hear together in the same sentence
