Anyone else looking forward to this? It's a mini-series on the History Channel starting on Monday. It has Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton and looks really good. From the trailers it appears to have most of the major happenings in what is/was surely the most well known feud in US history.
I think it will be fantastic and I'm really looking forward to it! The fun starts on Monday at 8pm. Here's a link to the teaser:
I only learned about these families watching American Picker. I'm guessing if I didn't skip the commercials, I would have seen 10+ ads for the mini-series. Thanks for the post.
Thought I better bump this and let everyone know that if you plan to watch this in HD it starts at 6pm and on Standard its a 9pm start time. (MDT). The 8pm I mentioned earlier is wrong.
Ya I watched it as well, also thought it was very well done. Great location shots, every wide shot is money. Strong acting performances too, I was especially impressed with Paxton's character.
My only critique is the Roseanna/Johnse love story got entirely too much face time (I can spoiler this if you want, but I'm trying to keep it general enough that I don't think its necessary), while the much more interesting McCoy boys or Tom Berenger's character Uncle Jim have gone basically undeveloped; though I'm sure this will change as the series goes on.
