I don't get this. Dude was old, around the age one dies. He wasn't producing content. We aren't being deprived of anything. Sad? Sure, I guess but I mean this kind of par for the course.

The phrase "fuzzy wuzzy was a woman?" still goes through my head to this day after seeing See No Evil, Hear No Evil when I was a kid. I probably haven't seen that movie since we rented it a Jumbo Video ha ha. He was a great a talent, I agree with DownInFlames, might be a good weekend for a marathon.

I watched Blazing Saddles last night in his honour.

The DVD also had the pilot for the TV spinoff called "Black Bart". Louis Gossett had the lead and Gene Wilder's equivalent character was played by Steve Landesburg. It was terrible.

I'm guessing that corporatejay works in the corporate world where things like death are not as important as putting a new cover letter on the tps reports. Sad? Sure, I guess but I mean this kind of par for the course.

I mean, why even put in the effort to post stuff like that. It would be like going out of your way to sign a condolence card with, "a bunch of people wrote some nice things about you in here, but I don't know, you weren't that special."

Such a funny "under rated" flick! My favorite part that I'll never forget;

Professor Kasuda tells detective Sutherland, "I think I can prove to a judge that both of these men had the mens rea."
Sutherland: "What the hell is the mens rea?"
Dave (Gene Wilder): "Mens rea? How could we have gotten mens rea?" "We used a condom!"

I have to say, when some of these kickass actors die these days I cant help but feel a little nostalgic.

I dont know most of their material, but I just romanticize in my mind what it must have been like to be a movie star in Hollywood in the 60s/70s and 80s as opposed to now.
