Default PS3 isn't reading movies off of USB Drive...

I've tried video files of .avi and .mp4 type and my PS3 is still telling me "there are no titles" when I select my USB Travel Drive.

Is there something I'm missing?

My friend has the same problem. Try pressing triangle and going "display all" ???

I checked out some PS3 forums and people are saying that the system doesn't read a lot of codecs. That means that lots of .avi files won't work.

I downloaded PS3 Video Converter 9 so we'll see if that does the trick.

Only one specific divx codec is supported by the PS3 firmware...the converter may work but if not, you can always use Virtual Dub...but your files should still show up.

I prefer mp4 for PS3 vids.
