Default [Series] Barrie versus North Bay

Seeing as the NHL hockey season is winding down as it relates to Flames and with how fun it has been to follow our two best prospects in the CHL/OHL I thought we could have a thread for the 2nd round series with Barrie/North Bay - also have Riley Bruce on North Bay.

Stats so far:

Andrew Mangiapane - GP 7 | G 4 | A 4 | PTS 8 | PIM 10 | +9

Rasmus Andersson - GP 7 | G 2 | A 7 | PTS 9 | PIM 10 | +4

Riley Bruce - GP 7 | G 1 | A 0 | PTS 1 | PIM 16 | -5

Sorry Riley but GOCOLTSGO!!

I have seasons tickets to the Petes and so watched that entire series (plus the games in NB on TV).

I was not impressed at all really with Bruce. He has a pretty hard shot and is a huge dude - but not much more that I saw.

If we could somehow get Kyle Wood into the organization though, that would be just swell.

Riley Bruce saves an early great chance with a solid block.

Natinen and Sadoway are both injured for Barrie - 2 of the top 6. Mangiapane is really pushing play along with Labanc.

Oh wow what a goal by Mangiapane... Tic tac toe as he drives up the middle and goes forehand backhand to.make the goalie look silly.

2-0 Mangiapane!!

Carrick with another seeing eye shot earlier this period to make it 4-0... Pretty steady, period since by Barrie.

Mangiapane with a stellar sauce pass late.in the 2nd - James gets robbed.

4-0 end of the 2nd

North Bay up 2-0 early LA 2014 3rd rnd pick Mike Amadio with both goals 29 seconds apart.

Edit: End of the 1st... Looks like both those goals game with the top line out -- Mangiapane, Andersson, Labanc, Scott and Webster all with a -2 through 1 period of play.

They tie it late and then Scott wins it 235 into the 1st ot with a first assist from Mangiapane (2nd to Labanc of course) !!!

They go up 2-0 in the series with a chance to take the stranglehold tomorrow!

Mangiapane finished even with 1 assist and 4 shots.

Andersson finished even with 3 shots.

Riley finished as a -1.

Was just thinking the same. Worth offering him an ATO and trying to get him down to Penticton?

13 goals and 1 assist. That's an interesting stat line.

2-0 after one -- Labanc with a shorthanded marker assist to Murray (Mangiapane was on the ice for the +1)

Then Webster from Andersson and Labanc with Mangiapane out for another + to go along with 2 shots.

Riley Bruce has a -1.
