He's also tied his career high in goals too.

I wonder what the Heat's record is since he left?

He played 1 game, why would that matter?

Kanzig has 4 G and 2 A for 6 PTS in 16 games this season. He is now at +13 on the season.

watched him last night and it looked like being back in the WHL has done him alot of good. He had several great shots from the point and was making pretty good defensive plays

I thought that he played the body pretty well. He wasn't going for the big hits, but muscled guys off the puck relatively well, and angled them away from the net. Seemed pretty sound defensively to me.

Having a drafted player sent back to juniors for their overage year is a step back but it has worked out for Ferland, so maybe he has a chance now that he's getting his offensive game together.

Was at the Hitmen/Oil Kings game tonight. Kanzig with 2 goals and a fight. Lots of hits too. I liked his defensive awareness and toughness. He was not letting any Oil Kings stand in front of the net. Obviously he has good size and strength and a big shot. But I've got to say his foot speed did not look great. He rarely carried the puck and when he did the opposing forwards had no problem catching him. With such an emphasis on skating in the NHL that may be what limits him.

3 goals in last 2 games.
Nice shot from the point in the home game loss to Giants Friday night.
He also jumped into the rush couple of time to create opportunities.
As a dman, interesting to see his Cy Young like numbers!

Awesome. Hope he continues to grow.
I mean his play on the ice, not his size, because...yeah...that would be nuts.

I want both.
More skill. More speed. More size. I want a 6'11" Paul Coffey that hits like Robyn Regher.

Alberta is a powerhouse for the WHL right now.
Lethbridge, Calgary, and Red Deer. Should be a good end of season.

Seriously? From 0-1 goals lifetime to 10 in 29?

I believe I've heard they use him in front of the net on the PP sometimes.
If that's true then he's in some offensive situations he wasn't before.

He got a lot of PP time when Travis Sanheim was off at the World Juniors, but he's also shooting a lot more than he has in the past.
