I'll probably be streaming the Willie Nelson 90th birthday party festival this weekend. The line-up is pretty amazing and such a mix of different artists. I can't say I am familiar with all the artists, but definitely a lot of them. There are supposedly going to be some collaborations as well, which will be interesting. I am really hoping that we get to see Neil Young and Stephen Stills play together since they are both going to be there. They are two of my favourite guitarists and really compliment each other well.
Spoiler!

My friends live near the Hollywood Bowl I’ve been telling them to just keep their windows open this weekend and they will probably get the biggest high of their lives
Possibly my most listened-to album of all time came out 40 years ago today.
I know its just my age, but man 1983- while there were many great records across all genres, just I guess what you might call "Modern Rock" (ok I don't love the labels necessarily but maybe people know what I mean...) anyways what a year
Murmur, Synchronicity, Let's Dance, Violent Femmes, War (and under a blood red sky), Touch, Power Corruption and Lies, Labour of Love, the Hurting, Reach the Beach, 7 and the Ragged tiger, Hootenanny, Cargo, True...
or does everyone just feel that way about the albums that came out the year they were 13...

Went on a Hives kick this week and ended up at this short but very clever song. It's how I feel when I get into a conversation with most people about any complex topic.

I've been a Nina Simone fan for forever, so how did I not know about this protest song? Jesus Christ....she might be my favorite artist of all time after hearing this. So punk rock.

Sorry, went on another musical journey tonight and remembered this song by Soundgarden. So ####ing good. I want to be Chris Cornell's vocal cords. He's just so goddamn incredible in this.

Listening to Hong Kong band N.Y.P.D. HKers have to be some of the best fans at concerts. Its just people enjoying music and having a great time. No drugs and maybe just have a beer or two. No fights, just dancing.
Again, revisiting old music has been a theme lately.
Tonight, I present why Bjork had such an amazing moment in music. These two songs show just how impressive she is in such a subdued but yet intensively emotive way. Just give it a listen.
