I mean has there been anything in the last 16 months or so that have been displayed by the Russians that would concern anyone.

Their Military is a complete mess

Armchair GM'ing this a bit.. I'm really excited for evidence of the bradley's entering combat. They have airburst rounds which with the help of drones sound like absolute trench clearers to me. What might really suck is the cluster of minefields that may have been laid down in occupied territory.. has to be so scary

The attacks on Moscow always seem like someone down the block is attacking with a homemade bomb. We have seen multiple videos of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian positions, and it's always impressively destructive. Why have the two Moscow attacks seemed under armed?

I'm not saying that it was false flag, album it seems weird.

Because the only weapon Ukraine has to reach Moscow at this point can only carry 20kg of payload, and probably less if they want to reach their destination

Yeah it seems pretty fake.

Especially since there doesn't seem to be any big hunt for the "perpetrators".

I mean, these are "terrorist attacks" according to Kremlin. Shouldn't that trigger massive manhunts? Kremlin has a massive internal security machine. It's not like these could have flown from Ukraine, right? The Russian air defense can't be THAT incompetent? That's something like 500km at least.

I'm not sure scaring the wealthy neighborhood, rousing them from their ability to ignore the war and making the air defense look incompetent has any benefit to the Russian war effort. I mean, Ukraine said yesterday that they will retaliate for all of the drone attacks on Kyiv...

Yeah I guess.

Although Russian propaganda can be quite hard to make sense of from the outside.

I think the reason there was no damage is simply that the Ukrainians didn't attach much for payload. They don't want to cause any civilian death, just wake them up without pissing off the Americans. As for the mild response, Russia has nothing left they can retaliate with so Putin makes it sound like it's no big deal and their air defense worked fine

Free Russian forces operating in Belgorod now claim to be operating T-72B tanks as well as Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters. They report carrying out air and armored strikes on multiple Russian military targets.
I stole this from someone on Reddit:

Russia yesterday: second most powerful military in the world.

Russia today: second most powerful military in Ukraine.

Russia tomorrow: second most powerful military in Russia.

OT - In the process of looking up the T-72B, I learned that Canada apparently operates (operated) one.

4 Intelligence Company acquired a Russian T-72 tank on February 2, 1996 for full-scale identification training. The tank was originally used for testing and evaluation at CFB Valcartier before it was delivered to the military tank park and museum at Longue Pointe, Montreal.[21]

I wonder what other cold war gear we've collected. Weird that they got it after the breakup of the USSR. They were probably more available but it seems a bit pointless by then.

IIRC, there is a T72 sitting in the Tank Display in The Museum of The Regiments in Calgary.

There might be others, but I can't recall.

I haven't looked it up but I'd expect the T72 was a major export tank and used in militaries all around the world. It would make sense to be prepared for it in peace-keeping deployments.

I've been following this Russian Youtuber who is now based in Canada. He is definitely anti-Putin and against the war in Ukraine, but he also drives home the point that Russians are victims of Putin as well.

Sorry, not sure why it isn't imbedding properly.

According to Ukraine officials, the offensive is officially underway and Russian Telegram Rybar stating that Ukraine is using Leopard tanks in their offensives.

All sorts of mayhem on Twitter right now, even Kaliningrad.
