It looks like there was also a Detective Charlie Simmer in a couple of episodes in season 1, so I'd guess there's a hockey fan on the writing staff.

Good lord. Someone give Bill Hader the keys to Hollywood.

That was an intense season finale. The tone of this show has taken a major turn.

There are only 2 other series on TV right now that matches Barry IMO: Succession and Better Call Saul.

Didn’t think this show could get any more intense but wow. Sensational.

They were losing me a bit mid season this year, but the last few episodes have been great.

Those 3 shows are probably about it on my top tier of currently running shows, but BCS is still a notch or two above IMO.

Interesting that Bill Hader directed episode 1, and then 6, 7, and 8. I thought the last 3 episodes really turned it up a notch. Apparently he'll be directing all of season 4!

Without a doubt my favorite season so far.

It really shows you how unbelievably bloated other shows are in that it take them 45-90 minutes to accomplish what Barry conveys in 30 or less.

There was one in this one that caught me funny, only because you can barely hear it in the background.

The dummy male cop is responding to a question about where the FBI agent (Barry's war buddy) is:

"Haven't seen him since he stormed out of here and cocked his gun in front of us. He's probably seeing the sights."

I died for a minute.

That police chief is the best background character in a TV show maybe ever, all of his lines are gold

I challenge that assertion....

I'm telling you, that scene and many aspects of Barry are a shout out to Leslie Nielsen and the Naked Gun movies. I love it so much.

The best part of that clip, imo, is Henry reaching up to the fence to attempt to jump over. He put all the acting emotions and energy in of a guy jumping 3 feet vertical, grabbing a fence and then dramatically pulling himself over....but didn't pull a single inch off the ground in two attempts, and then turns around to face the dogs in defeat. If you didn't fully appreciate that part, please watch it again. So good.

Just finished watching.... Amazing.

I also loved the mid 90s Simpsons style gags. When Mr. Crusineau gets attacked by the dogs and then we get the scene of the couple arguing about owning too many dogs.

So it's returning Apr 16th, which is a Sunday, with a 2 episode premiere. Does this mean there will be a Sunday overlap with Succession?

Gonna a lot of TV to grind through in April if so.

That kills me. It's so many months to get to a new season and when it finally arrives I love it. But not going to lie, the quick episodes leave me wanting, so badly.

It's a damn 4 hour television series that we wait nearly or more than two years for each time.

Well, I guess the good news is that won't be a problem after this season.
