At least with Caesar's the insane sodium content adds a little a bit of flavor. Sbarro has no redeeming qualities.

And, not sure if it's just the airport location, a slice was almost 9 bucks lmao get out of here.

I try different pizzas, but Gus remains the Champion. The driver said he delivers from lots of places but Gus is the best.

I’ve had Gus’s half a dozen times and I always finish thinking it’s one of the most overrated pizzas ever. People rave about it and I just don’t get it

Not Calgary but if you're going through Crowsnest Pass, The Pass Beer Company has good beer and really good pizza.

Yeah Gus is okay but a little overrated. Someone here mentioned Estoria in douglasdale. Had it a few times since and it's really, really great pizza.

Little Caesers pizza sucks in general, but drive through to grab an italian cheesy bread + marinara sauce is fire.

Have to have pizza at least once a week:

In that SW Greek zone, but there is some new places popping up that aren't the greek casserole style pizza.

Old Faves
- Volos - Great greek pizza. Good sauce, not too much cinnamon like Sophies. They have secret personal pies if you pick up during the week that are perfect.

- Spiros - Used to love these thick cheesy pies but something has gone downhill, crusts burnt, and it you pick up it seems so run down and dingy that it makes you lose your appetite. Also unbelievably expensive.

- Bella Roma - Same as always greek style in Lakeview, new owners but recipe seems the same.

New(ish) ones
- Sinatras Pizzeria - Next to that cat hospital on 26th ave SW. Very new. Was really good. New York Style.

- Villages - I think this is a small chain but the crumbled bacon is awesome. Also sell slices which is handy.

- Bow Tie - Something in the sauce I didn't care for, very similar to Villages.

- Inglewood Pizza - Killarney Location. Always tastes like the dough is not fully cooked. Not a fan.

- Savino Pizzeria - This one is awesome. Traditional italian stone oven thin crust. Weird place. You have to find them on Instagram and he makes it in his pizza truck in the back of his house and you have to walk down the alley to pick it up in Glendale. Its stellar though. Guy grows his own herbs and everything made from scratch. No idea how his neighbors put up with the crowds, but who cares. One of those pizzas where you don't feel gross after eating it.

- Connie and Johns in the Blush Lane grocery - I can see why people like the new York Style but the free flowing grease on top grosses me out. Way too greasy and salty. Sauce maker probably a smoker.

Want to Try
- The Mash - New place in Marda Loop, supposed to be good using the used beer mash (which sounds gross to me), but curious. Anyone had it?

- Peak Pizza - New place where Jeanne's soapy pizza was forever. No idea if its any good.

Still the Best In the City*
- Il Centro - Terrible location located across from the clusterF that is Chinook Centre. Had forgotten about it and picked some up. Ate till I was grossed out, woke up at 3 in the morning craving it and finished it off.

Anyone try Carmine's in the NW? Going to give it a shot tonight, since they have Care Bakery GF crust as well.

Been to The Mash in Mahogany, its was ok.

Il Centro, I remember working by it in the 90's when it was a "deli & market"

Had The Mash in Airdrie

Was hit and miss. One week it was our favourite pizza, next it was pretty crap. The crust was always tasty though with the used beer mash. Haven't had it in a while after a couple bad goes, should give it another shot.

Awesome, let me know. I really liked it and they are passionate and friendly there. They want to please and give you a nice experience which for some ****ed up reason is not the norm in the pizza industry.

Too many lack any customer service skills from the top down at the very least and want to shove wing-nut political opinions down your throat at worst.

Had to dig this up from the 2nd page.
Loving Acme Pizza at Two Houses Brewery. Great thin, crispy crust with some interesting combinations. Doesn't hurt to quaff a few beers on the patio as well. High Recommend.

Pizza Culture on Edmonton Trail near Peters Drive-in has Neapolitan-style flat-crust pizza that they bake using an authentic wood-fired pizza oven they had imported from Italy. Very delicious.

I am uncomfortable with the prices of pizza now. High 20's to low 30's for a 12" seems to be pretty standard at a non-chain place.

This is madness. After taxes you're getting to like $4-5 a slice.
