A good laugh

A great back and forth between a father and the school chaplain.
" tongue in cheek of course "

A rare Cheese sighting...

It must be an anti-religion link...

I love it when you come out of semi-retirement to fight the good fight.

Its been posted before, and it doesn't make the father any more of rude mannerless prick.

I found the responses funny but the Chaplain also was trying to evangilize so instead of just saying give your child permission or don't give your child permission he started preaching the benefits of it. I also dislike the wording of the letter trying to make it sound less religious. Really it should say we are re-enacting a passion play celebrating the death and resurection of Jesus and the meaning of Easter.

But the Dad is still a . Though the emails from God telling the chaplain to buy him a car are hilarious.

The worst is that the box was pre-ticked by mistake. That sets the precedent for the father with an inferiority complex to react. Otherwise free expression in our schools is a fine thing. Parents can decide whether their children should attend these events or not.

Haha, reading that entirely through, how can anyone sympathize with the father? What an annoying, self-indulgent, insulting prick. Also, how come anyone who reads any book by Richard Dawkins automatically assumes that they are some sort of expert on the natural sciences? I cringed the whole way through his silly, pseudo-poetic ramblings about Saturn and the 15 billion year old universe. What a ridiculous man.

I laughed. These types of exchanges are no different than dealing with trolls on the internet. Anybody with half a mind can see where the conversation is headed and avoid it completely.

Hey, the great peter12 himself pointed out that reading Locke makes you smart, and MMF clearly agrees.

Read away gents, I'm here all day.

I'm pretty sure that whole site is made up. People falling into hilarious traps at every response? A little too good to be true.

Any statement made on this board that has moral connotations out of line with the majority is piled on by the idiots.

I would protest and say that a) I have a real job and b) I am on a career track, but then again, I'd betray the fact that I'm on CP at work.

Collating papers for your dad in the summer does not constitute a career track.
