What's your routine when going to watch a live game?
Hello everyone,
I'm wondering what everyone's routine is when going to watch the flames live? Is there a certain bar you hit beforehand for drinks and food? Any happy hours you hit before hitting the dome? Do you just go last second to get beers?
My personal routine:
Train to dome. Show up 20 minutes before puck drop, grab 2 beers and sit down. 6 more beers and various times through out the game mixed in with popcorn and a pocket dog. After the game go to cowboys casino and inevitably lose $60.

I hear the correct thing to do is to take an ice bath in a trash can.

Train to Dome
Buy happy hour hot dogs and 2 beers
Consume the lot while taking in the warmups close to ice level
1st Bathroom break at second TV timeout. Refill on beer on the way back.
Play Call of Duty mobile during 1st intermission
2nd Bathroom break at first TV timeout
Look at fantasy league stuff 2nd intermission
3rd Bathroom break at first TV timeout
Last Bathroom break after the game, go specifically to the one next to 102/103
Fist bump usher on way out if we win
Avoid the +15, cross the parking lot and bridge to Erlton Stampede LRT instead (so I can get a guaranteed seat)
I have to take the red line north home so I suppose the equivalent for southbound would be to walk north up 4th and just hike it to City Hall

I still love going to the game, but honestly it hasn't been the same since the Lion's Den closed.
That was the perfect pre-game place.

I'm in Vancouver and I'm going to the game next week here. Part of my routine is to put on body armour...

Haven't been in almost 4 years but...
Hotel --> Brewsters --> beers --> pretzels --> train --> Dome --> beers --> popcorn --> seat --> don't leave seat until game is over, no bathroom breaks --> get crushed leaving Dome --> get crushed waiting for train --> get crushed on train --> Crack Macs (Circle K?) for snacks --> liquor store --> hotel --> pass out

I like to put down 3-4 drinks while having an early dinner out. Then walk to the game. 2 drinks a period. Then if we win a xouple more beers out before heading home.

Park at the Elbow River casino for free underground parking. Eat at the restaurant there. Usually there is a special. Props if it's the prime rib dinner. Walk to the Saddledome. After the game enjoy a warm car and easy access to Mcleod Tr South from the casino.

Get decked in gear, jet down to the train, meet with friends at stampede station, take the old walk and catch up, browse through the attic, load up on food and beer and take in the game?
Used to always eat along 17th in the younger days before games. Should start doing that again.
Edit: also make sure to wear no colours of the opposing team and sing a hymn to Jobu in the closet.

void bladder and bowels, shower, put on pants and other required clothing to fit societal norms, get down to dome, score food, sit in sets and complain all game long about how most players on the ice are crappy and way overpaid.
drive home, call into the FAN and make wild trade suggestions

If its a weekend game and I've got lots of time:
1) Hit the barley belt, grab a beer at Cabin / Born Colorado
2) E scooter to just outside the stampede grounds
3) Pre game hot dog and beer for happy hour
Or if there isn't much time
1) Embarcadero for oysters / appetizers and a drink
2) Hopefully hit happy hour for a quick beer
After the game it's usually grab a cab home, if I'm with some buddies and we're making a big night of it probably go to the Casino to lose some cash quickly and another drink or 2

Hey, just listen. I forgot to tell you the plan for this Saturday. You, me, bar, beers, buzzed, wings, shots, drunk, waitresses hot, football Cornell/Hosfstra, slaughter, then quick nap at my place and then we hit the tizzown.

My daily pandemic Flames routine:
1) Prepare myself to sit on the couch (with beverage and snacks)
2) Sit on my couch
3) Throw my legs onto the couch extended
4) Grab my remote
5) Grab my blanket/throw
6) Turn on the TV/Receiver
7) Switch to Flames game
8) Eat, drink, watch (maybe snooze if playing against the Wilds)

Some of you guys are animals with the copious beer consumption! I mean it in a good way.
