Celebrated Square Root Day

Well the good news is if Rogers does successfully sell the team, the incoming owner/group will have a nice body of suck to make a quick decision on bringing a real GM/President in.
They're getting trashed in Canada and the US over this.

I truly believe when we take our rose colour fan glasses off, we’ll see that there is very shallow high end quality on this team. I’ll give the team some credit for drafting in the past few seasons as those appear to be quality but not necessarily all star calibre potential. The future will determine success or not but man, Shapiro / Atkins deserve every ounce of critique thrown their way. I don’t know if they don’t have any integrity or they’re just not well respected among their peers, but I find them totally distrustful. While I don’t like Stroman’s tweeting attitude, I thoroughly loved that he gave it to them upon his exit. Why the media didn’t record it from the outside of the room and play it I don’t know but I would’ve found that even better. Hopefully Stroman shows them up at his presser. NY media will be relentless.

Lifetime Suspension

I was reading an article the other day about just how bad Rogers fleeces the Jays profits. They give the Jays 36M for their tv deal and then claim they are barely breaking even. The Texas Rangers For example have a regional TV deal worth 150M. The San Diego Padres TV deal is among the worst in the league and even they get 75M, more than double the Jays.
They also went on to say that the Jays will be a hard sell because Rogers will ensure they get tv rights for ten cents on the dollar on a long term contract prior to selling.
So depressing. I really need Montreal to get a team back.

SRF pitching pretty good but he just can't seem to ever have a clean inning.

He's stranded 9 thru 5 but any decent team probably would have put the hurt on him big time.

Cleveland got a monster haul for Trevor Bauer. Including Puig and prospect reyes. Makes me dislike the Stroman trade even more.

Bauer is a better player IMO, but that is indeed a large haul. And a baseball top 30 prospect being moved. Looks like the Jays sold low.

Looks like the Jays made the deal too early for Stroman, with the return Bauer ended up getting.

The issue is those are the players the Jays wanted
They wanted to draft the younger pitcher but Mets beat them too it
They have outright stated they are higher on these 2 them most in the industry
It’s a case of thinking you’re the smartest person in the room. Time will tell I guess

Its really hard to compare the pitchers...
With the Jays, Stroman was a #1 pitcher
On a good team Stroman is a #3 or #4 pitcher...
What is that worth to other teams...
Did other teams prefer Bauer....

I would, he's a better pitcher.
I should add, in my opinion.
