Bobby Eaton passes away.
One of the best workers in the business, he was just solid. Was in one of the best tag teams in history as the Midnight express.
RIP

He also had the reputation of being the nicest guy in wrestling. Seeing the outpouring of sentiment from wrestlers on Twitter, it's clear he was genuinely loved and respected in the business.

Sounds like there's a bidding war for Cole as AEW and NXT/WWE have both made offers to him this week.
I expect that the WWE will do everything they can to keep him, as he's a true flagship player for the WWE and because of the negative backlash of recent releases.
Also the former Ruby Riott has signed with AEW, that to me is a great signing for the woman's division as she's an extremely good worker and can boost the division.

Really makes me wonder about the optimistic numbers in the last WWE quarterly call.
Bronson Reed, Tyler Rust, Bobby Fish, Leon Ruff, Mercedes Martinez, Jake Atlas, Ari Sterling, Asher Hale, Zechariah Smith, Giant Zanjeer, Kona Reeves, and referee Stephon Smith.
All released from NXT tonight.

I've heard it's only going to be available through the app, which truly sucks. Guess I'll be finding another way to watch it

Do wonder if they do an NWO type deal with WWE guys - Christian, Punk, etc. Otherwise not sure how this main event makes sense.

No more NWO types.
Just me, and I know that wrestling loves to recycle stories. But NWO stories don't work well because of frankly the internet. When the NWO started people legit thought that Nash and Hall were true free agents at best or at worst sent to screw up WCW.
The other thing is that the thing that eventually wrecked WCW which was a small group of NWO members destroying the roster would probably be crapped on by the IWFs now who have no patient and can't seperate work from shoot.
Oh my god the NWO AEW came in and destroyed Kenney, the writers are totally killing Kenney. That would be after two weeks of beat downs .

Seems to be a real life civil war within WWE according to WON
Burials and releases of NXT talent were intended as shots at HHH via Prichard/Laurinaitis. With NXT's Wednesday night loss against AEW, and eventual move to Tuesday nights, many are pointing at HHH for the failure. Prichard/Laurinaitis are smelling blood in the water and are trying to make HHH look as bad as possible.
Recent NXT releases has revealed that HHH/HBK were in the dark when Laurinaitis made the calls to each NXT talent

I saw someone say a few weeks ago when those Brock rumors came around for a day.
Just have the lights go out at rampage when the elite are in the ring, and they pop back up and punk, Bryan, and Brock are behind them and have em.run as a faction for a little bit, would be the biggest pop since Austin came out to help mankind win the title.
Tony Khan would definitely love to do an actual invasion storyline right I bet where WWE cojldnt, could even have the NJPW guys show up for a bit.

Ya the stuff about people being worried about hunter taking over if Vince leaves, so they want to bury him, is so carny and with prichard and laurinaitis makes total sense
