Holy Hannah, what a backhand down the line to stay in the match and even the tie-breaker at 6-6 by Milos.

Milos blew far too many chances, but man did Murray clutch up on serve at the end of that tiebreak.

Disappointing end result, but that was some high quality tennis from Milos today.

both guys had equal moments of brilliance and choke, I wasn't sure before if Milos truly felt like the number 3 player in the world but after that match I'm convinced he is. Canadian dude near the top of the list, with more coming up in a few years...feels good.
oh and has anyone else seen Rafa's new um, haircut?

I don't think you can really say that when he broke the number one player in the world 4 times? That was probably one of the top matches you will ever see from the standpoint of two guys just flat out going at each other and a case of two players being absolutely split right down the middle.
Milos is proving he is on par with both Murray and Novak.
Next year should be very entertaining.

I can say it when Milos allowed Murray to hang around with a pair of horrid games being broken at love, when he had Murray 0-30 twice in the last set plus game and failed to convert and made a pair of brutally bad decisions in the tiebreak.

Quality ESPN stats: "Murray has won last 7 games (since 3-3 in the first set)". The score when this was posted stood at 6-3 4-1.
And I'm not sure if Murray is just that dominant, or Djokovic is that done with this season. This is pretty one-sided.

Murray equally made some major mistakes in allowing himself to be broken twice in the final set when he should have had him dead to rights. A few hiccups are going to happen against the top players - Novak and Murray and it happens to everyone on tour. The reason those two guys have been dominating this year and in the past is simply because they can get themselves out of trouble all the time.
If today's beat down of Novak is any indication, Murray was not going to be denied at this point in his career. Milos did incredibly well to do what he did this tournament, some of which he was battling injury. No reason to find fault in his game for that.

With Cilic one set away from winning the Davis Cup, Del Potro comes from two sets down to force the deciding rubber. Old man Karlovic now Croatia's last hope, Delbonis for Argentina.

Milos is moving on from Carlos Moya as coach, as per his latest Instagram post. Could John McEnroe be coming on full time?

Wow. I'm actually floored at this move after such a tremendous year.
This must be clearing the way for Johnny Mac to make the move to full time coach with Ricardo Piatti. It was strange how Mac abruptly stopped coaching with the team in the summer....perhaps there was some tension between him and Moya.

He was also continuing to consult with the Raonic team prior to the US Open before suddenly severing ties.

Fed fan boy alert! But Roger is coming back for the Hopman Cup in the new year. Still gonna be odd seeing a double digit seeded Roger Federer, but we'll have to get used to it until at least the French.
Interview he did with the NYT.
