Default 2023 Academy Awards

I honestly think Will Smith single handedly revived interest in the Oscars. Only anecdotal, but it does seem like people are once again interested in this thing. Controversy and weird moments are good for the show- I hope they have John Travolta on standby in case it is going too normal.

I hope Brendan Fraser wins

JLC was sounding more and more like the favorite but still a bit surprising to see. Ke Huy Quan winning was a great moment.

Sorry you're predicting Top Gun wins best picture?

Good lord.

No, I think EEAAO will win most of those. Fraser will win. Blanchett probably should win best actress, but won't for obvious reasons. Hopefully Kerry Condon wins, she stole that movie for me.

I'm 100 percent convinced they'll give movie of the year to top gun. Why? Everyone out of Hollywood say the exact same thing. Top Gun saved Hollywood. Not a single movie put more butts in seats last year. Dare I say you could combine a few of them and not match it.

No way Tom Cruise would be a no show if there was a prayer of Top Gun winning. Im sure the winners are top secret, but the Academy would make sure Cruise was there.

I've watched Michelle Yeoh growing up in Chinese movies. Happy to see her nominated.

EEAAO winning everything reminds me of when Parasite won everything they were up for a few years ago.

I saw it in the theater the week it was released, was actually excited to see it, the campy wackiness wore on me. I was underwhelmed and glad when the credits started rolling, forgot about it immediately. Too much undeserved hype.

It is definitely silly at times. Something about it stuck with me. I loved the message.

Banshees should've won something. Best movie of the year.
