The most convoluted "twist" I have ever seen. Nothing about the finale made any sense whatsoever.

Too bad since the premise had promise. I have no idea how this kind of #### makes it past storyboards, let alone being filmed and released.

Season 2 was a dud except for one episode, which was a lot of 'Home Alone' style fun.

Anyone watching Daisy Jones & the Six? I read the book and really wanted to hear the album. So then I find out that Amazon made this into a miniseries. The lead who plays Daisy is Riley Keough, the grand daughter of Elvis.

The Shield is on Prime. But only the even numbered episodes are the remastered versions in HD and 5.1. All the odd numbered episodes are 4:3 SD. Kinda weird.

Yeah I just finished episode 8. At times I find it really interesting and certainly many aspects of the rock and roll lifestyle are what I’ve experienced. Other times I just don’t understand the motivation of one of the characters.

It’s loosely based on Stevie nicks and Lindsay buckingham in fleetwood Mac, however it’s not about any of them at all.

I’ll see it through to the end.

Edit: I’ve seen it to the end. The last episode wraps up some stuff that was bugging me so I’m pleased about that.

Fantastic book (and its follower, Agency)! @greatdismal is an amazing (Canadian!) s-f writer and the producers of The Peripheral did a phenomenal job translating his dystopian vision into something that works on a TV. Terrific!

Just watched this "wife approved" (TM) show! Fun, if a little off-the-rails from an anachronism perspective occasionally. Nobody in the seventies said "Bro". Just didn't happen.

She is portrayed in a very Stevie Nicks fashion (no surprise as the story itself is loosely based on FM). Fun, if kinda goofy at times. Well enough done, overall though. And some decent eye candy for everyone. (Oops....that's not very PC...right?)

Prime has added every season of Degrassi Street, Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, all the Next Gen garbage and the Degrassi School's Out movie.

If anybody wants to see a pretty hilariously poorly written show but with some episodes set at the Banff Springs, then Wilderness may fit the bill

I checked that one out on IMDB. We’ve spent a fair bit of time at the Banff Springs and I know the hotel’s story (did a magazine feature) so it’d be interesting but I’m not sure I want to give up several hours for glimpses of the hotel. How much of the hotel do you see?

I think 2 of the 6 episodes were primarily set there. Plus bits in a couple of other episodes

You have a couple of good outside shots, one driving up at night, a good flyover during daylight. You see some scenes in the lobby and bar, some in a room, and some exterior front and back.

There is also a bit in Kananakis, plus YYC is used for JFK

It’s also got shots from Whistler area, Vancouver, Vegas and the Grand Canyon

It’s fun to see, and lots of backdrops that are beautiful, but the writing is, well… kind of preposterous

Nate Bergatzi's new special on Prime is pretty good.

They have a ton of Jim Gaffigan content as well.

Prime isn't better than Netflix for standup but their selection isn't bad either.

Last night I noticed 1.) Dark Harvest exists as a movie, and 2.) it's on Prime. I had no idea it was a thing.

I read the book in 2007ish and it was surprisingly fantastic. The book's quite short, and author Norman Partridge's style of writing is interesting in that he writes in the second person, which gives the story a sense of urgency that pervades throughout the entire book. It has this hard-boiled pulp fiction feel to it, while slipping in some subtext about growing up as a boy in America. And it pulls off spooky.

The movie trailer is quite uninspiring, but I'll give the film a watch this weekend. Just thought I'd alert you all to a great book you ought to read, and possibly a really ####ty movie.
